Starship Entertainment Unveils IVE's First Member Ahn Yujin in New Profile Photos

On November 2, Starship Entertainment released the first set of profile photos for their upcoming girl group IVE's official social media account, revealing former IZ*ONE member Ahn Yujin as the first member of the group.

In one of the profile photos shared, Ahn Yujin can be seen sporting a black sheer long-sleeved top paired with a black and white crop top, along with faux leather shorts and a half-updo hairstyle, giving Ahn Yujin a fierce and chic look.

In another profile photo that is black and white, Ahn Yujin shows a more innocent look with a plain white shirt, natural makeup, and her long hair down.

Meanwhile, Ahn Yujin, who was born on September 1, 2003, will be the group's leader and vocalist.

Following the disbandment of "Produce 48"-formed girl group IZ*ONE earlier in April, Ahn Yujin returned to Starship Entertainment alongside fellow former member Jang Wonyoung.

Since then, she has been focusing on her solo career. As of the moment, she has been hosting SBS music program "Inkigayo" since March of this year, alongside NCT's Sungchan and TREASURE's Jihoon, taking over the positions of APRIL's Naeun, NCT's Jaehyun, and MONSTA X's Minhyuk.

More About Starship Entertainment's Girl Group IVE

On November 1, Starship Entertainment launched a new social media account with the name IVE, which was speculated and later confirmed to be the label's new girl group, along with the group's official logo.

According to Starship Entertainment, their new girl group will consist of six members, with one already confirmed to be Ahn Yujin. Jang Wonyoung is also speculated to be a part of the lineup, with the remaining four members currently trainees under the label.

Media outlets reported that "IVE" is a shortened version of "I HAVE," which represents the aspirations of the upcoming girl group to showcase the kind of qualities and skills that they have to the public.

In addition, IVE is said to display all of their abilities with their own image and abilities as compared to the typical female group that will show their growth.

Although the exact date of their debut has yet to be announced, it was confirmed that IVE is gearing up to make their debut within the second half of the year.

This also marks Starship Entertainment's first K-Pop group since CRAVITY, who debuted back in April 2020, and their first girl group since Cosmic Girls who made their debut in February 2016.
