'7 Fates: CHAKHO with BTS' Release Date Revealed during HYBE's 2021 Briefing + Watch the Teaser Here
HYBE has officially unveiled the release date of BTS's webtoon "7Fates: CHAKHO" during the company's recent year-end briefing.

BTS's Webtoon "7 Fates: CHAKHO" To Be Released in January 2022
On Nov. 4, HYBE held their year-end briefing to mark the end of a prosperous year for the agency and their artists.

The event was broadcast live via the company's YouTube channel, and Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, HYBE America co-CEO Scooter Braun were the first ones to greet the viewers and discuss the theme of "BOUNDLESS" referring to the unification between entertainment branches and operations in different countries.
One of the topics that were also tackled during HYBE's 2021 briefing is their plan to develop original stories such as webtoons and animated films, one of which is the webtoon "7 Fates: CHAKHO with BTS."
In a video HYBE uploaded, HYBE's General Manager Shawn Hwangbo said that "7 Fates: CHAKHO" was is an urban fantasy genre story set in a city of the near future. It was inspired by the "Chakhogapsa," the Beom (tiger) hunters of the Joseon Dynasty.

Hwangbo continued, "It is a story re-created by reinterpreting the stories of bears and Beom in mythology and the traditional Korean beom tales with HYBE's own imagination."
He went on to say that CHAKHO will team up with BTS to create a "dynamic story about seven boys bound by fate who grew up together through trials and tribulations, and why they must be seven and what their destiny holds."
After Shawn Hwangbo's introduction of "7 Fates: CHAKHO with BTS," a teaser featuring the "Butter" singers giving more information about the webtoon is presented.

At the beginning of the teaser, BTS RM said, "Keep an eye on each story of the Beom (tiger) hunters to discover their tragic fate and to take revenge for losing their loved ones."
BTS Jungkook added, "This character is put in an awkward situation where he has to catch Beom using the ability of a Beom, but at the same time he's not to be recognized as a Beom."
At the end of the teaser for BTS's webtoon "7 Fates: CHAKHO," its release date was unveiled. It is due out on Jan. 15, 2022.

BTS to Release a Video Game in the First Half of 2022
In addition to the introduction and release date of "7 Fates: CHAKHO with BTS," HYBE also tackled entering the world of gaming.
HYBE's General Manager Wooyong Chung said that the company plans to expand the fun that artists and music provide into more diverse formats: games based on artists and music IP.
He continued that the agency is currently developing a new game, which will be a collaboration with BTS. The video game is slated to be released in the first half of 2022.
"BTS members are not just characters in this game but have been working together on the project several months now, coming up with various ideas," Wooyong stated.
