Weki Meki's Comeback Scheduled in Mid-November with the Release of a New Mini-Album "I AM ME."

On Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. KST, a poster was uploaded to Fantagio Music's official social media accounts to announce the upcoming return of the company's girl group Weki Meki.

The poster features a silhouette of a window with the words "I AM ME." written in the middle along with the names of the Weki Meki members - Ji Suyeon, Elly, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, Sei, Lua, Rina and Lucy.

According to the image uploaded, Weki Meki's comeback will be accompanied by the release of their fifth EP, titled "I AM ME."

"I AM ME." will be the K-pop group's first album in one year and one month since the release of their fourth EP "New Rules" in October of last year.

Weki Meki's new mini-album will also be their first music release this year as the Weki Meki members have been carrying out solo activities in the past months, mainly in the acting field.

In particular, Lucy made her acting debut in the global film and series project "Asia" while Kim Doyeon starred in "My Roommate is a Gumiho" and currently appears in SBS's "One the Woman"

On Nov. 4, Weki Meki members Elly and Sei were announced as cast members in the upcoming web drama series "New Tale of Chun Hyang" (tentative title).

Meanwhile, Weki Meki's new mini-album "I AM ME." is set for release on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. KST. Are you excited about the group's upcoming work?

Weki Meki's Latest Comeback with Their Fourth EP "New Rules"

On Oct. 28 of last year, the eight-member girl group dropped their fourth mini-album "New Rules," which comprises five songs including the title track "Cool" and its English version "100 Facts" (the group's first-ever song in English).

Weki Meki's "New Rules" shares the message that the group will make their own rules, which can is evident through their concept, music video and lyrics. Moreover, "COOL" is a confident and bright song.

On the first day of sales, "New Rules" sold a total of 1,331 copies on the Hanteo Chart. It ultimately recorded 3,150 copies for its first-week sales.

Meanwhile, the mini-album debuted and peaked on the Gaon Album Chart at No. 13 for the week ending on Oct. 11. It stayed within the Top 100 for five weeks in a row.

Concerning the album's monthly sales on the Gaon Chart, a total of 9,421 copies were sold in the whole month of October. It then sold 12,207 total copies as of November 2020.

Over on the iTunes Album charts, "New Rules" has become Weki Meki's first album to achieve two No. 1s (Chile and Saudi Arabia). Also, it landed at No. 28 on the worldwide chart.

The title track "COOL" has also become the girl group's first song to reach two No. 1s on iTunes Song charts.
