Hyoyeon Spoils an Upcoming Concert Which Fans Wonder Whether It is a Girls' Generation Concert or SMTOWN Concert

On the evening of Nov. 9, Girls' Generation Hyoyeon spent time communicating with the fans through an Instagram live.

At some points during the livestream, Hyoyeon surprised fans after saying, "I have spoilers." She went on to reveal, "Taeyeon, me and other artists will have a concert."

Whether these "other artists" refer to all Girls' Generation members or other singers under SM Entertainment was not directly stated. After hearing the concert spoiler from Hyoyeon, fans expressed their desire for a Girls' Generation concert to be held. Some SONEs (SNSD's fans) are hoping for this to happen after the legendary girl group reunited on "You Quiz on the Block" in early September this year.

Not to mention, the music industry is expecting that Girls' Generation will celebrate their 14th anniversary this year and conduct something commemorative ahead of their 15th anniversary next year.

Although the members of the group are not all in the same company anymore, there is a prospect that they will reunite as they still maintain a good relationship.

While some SONEs anticipate a Girls' Generation concert, the other fans think Hyoyeon was referring to a potential SMTOWN concert. It can be recalled that an SMTOWN concert, called "SMTOWN LIVE 'Culture Humanity,'" was held on Jan. 1 this year to kick off the New Year.

The event has become the most successful tour so far and most-streamed concert in South Korea history after being watched by 35.83 million viewers from 186 countries.

Regarding when the concert will be held, Girls' Generation Hyoyeon shared during her Instagram live that she is unsure whether it is set to take place this year or next year.

After Hyoyeon's concert spoiler, her name and "SMTOWN" started climbing to the Twitter trends due to fans' excitement.

Girls' Generation Hyoyeon's Latest Comeback with Her New Song "Second"

On Aug. 9 this year, Girls' Generation member Hyoyeon made her first solo comeback in over a year since her single "Dessert" featuring (G)I-DLE Soyeon and Korean rapper Loopy.

On that day, Hyoyeon released a new song titled "Second." The track features emerging female artist BIBI, who took part in its composition.

Hyoyeon's "Second" is described as a summer dance-pop track that contains lyrics telling the listeners that "it is alright to give themselves time to relax in their busy lives."

"Second" debuted at No. 182 on the Gaon Digital Chart for the week ending on Aug. 14. It rose to No. 176 in its second week on the chart.

The digital single also entered the Gaon Download Chart (Aug. 8-14) at no. 28. It even landed at No. 17 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart dated Aug. 21.
