aespa's 'Savage' is the Best-Selling Album by a Girl Group in the History of Gaon Chart
On Nov. 11, Gaon released the monthly album chart for October 2021, and aespa's first mini-album "Savage" managed to enter the Top 5.
According to Gaon, "Savage" sold a total of 519,618 copies in the previous month. It is one of the only four albums to sell half a million copies in October, following NCT 127's "Favorite," ENHYPEN's "DIMENSION: DILEMMA" and SEVENTEEN's "Attacca."
This only shows that aespa's "Savage" has the highest sales in October 2021 among the girl group albums.

On top of that, "Savage" has also become the best-selling debut album by a girl group in the history of Gaon.
Remarkably, aespa's first mini-album exceeded 500,000 copies on Gaon within 15 days of release, making the rookie group a half-million seller in just the 11th month of their debut.
Moreover, "Savage" is the first and only debut album by a girl group to sell half a million copies on the Gaon Chart. The previous record-holder, "SQUARE UP" by BLACKPINK, only sold over 411,000 copies.

aespa is the fourth girl group in history to surpass 500,000 copies sold with at least one album on Gaon, following BLACKPINK, TWICE & IZ*ONE.
aespa's "Savage" is now the best-selling debut album by a girl group on both Gaon and Hanteo charts. So far, the album has surpassed 380,000 copies sold on Hanteo.

aespa Enters Gaon's Weekly and Monthly Gaon Charts
In other news, aespa also entered more Gaon charts for the month of October and Week 45 of 2021.
On the weekly Gaon Digital Chart, aespa has three entries: "Savage," "Next Level" and "Black Mamba."
"Savage" re-peaked in second place with more than 23 million digital points while "Next Level" and "Black Mamba" placed No. 7 and No. 118 respectively.
Meanwhile, five songs by aespa landed on the monthly Gaon Digital Chart, with "Savage" claiming the highest rank (No. 3) with more than 101 million points. The other tracks are "Next Level," "Black Mamba," "YEPPI YEPPI" and "aenergy."
"Savage" now joins "Next Level" and "Black Mamba" as aespa's songs to surpass 100 million digital points on Gaon.

Over on the weekly Download Chart, the rookie group's entries are "Savage" (No. 13), "Next Level" (No. 45) and "Black Mamba" (168).
On the monthly Download Chart, aespa has a total of eight songs with five of them being new entries including "Savage" at No. 5.
"Savage," "Next Level" and "Black Mamba" also made it to both the weekly and monthly Streaming Charts, and the first song has the highest position among the three on both charts.
Finally, on the weekly Retail Album Chart, aespa's "Savage" ranked No. 13 with 2,644 more copies sold.
