BLACKPINK adds another milestone to their long list of achievements! The YG Entertainment girl group's "How You Like That" MV just reached one billion views on YouTube, and is now the group's fifth music video to hit the mark.
BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' MV Hits 1 Billion Views
On November 12, YG Entertainment stated that BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" MV has amassed 1 billion views on YouTube. It has been about 505 days since it was released last year on June 26.
It has beaten the group's other megahit song "DDU-DU DDU-DU," which reached the 1st billionth mark in 514 days.
Because of this, BLACKPINK now has a total of five music videos to exceed 1 billion views.
Particularly, "How You Like That" MV holds the records as the first, highest, and shortest K-pop billion views which was set by "DDU-DU DDU-DU."

The song "How You Like That" has a strong beat, it has a message that says not to give in and fly high in every situation. It won "Song of the Summer" during the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards in the United States. It has also taken the first place on YouTube's "Global Top Summer Song" in the same year.
The popularity of "How You Like That" was confirmed on different global charts which represents the mainstream pop market. The song not only made it on Korea's music chart "Perfect All Kill," but it also entered Spotify's global Top 50 chart, it ranked second on the iTunes charts and ranked first in 64 countries including the United States.
Moreover, BLACKPINK proved its global presence by getting the 20th and 33rd spot on the UK Official Singles Top 100 and Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
Concurrently, the cumulative number of views of BLACKPINK's videos in YouTube is 32 billion. The number of subscribers to their official YouTube channel reached nearly 70 million. This is the highest views recorded among male and female artists all over the world.

BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' Choreography Video hits 900 million views
Aside from its official music video reaching one billion views, the choreography video for "How You Like That" makes a record of hitting 900 million views on YouTube.
On November 7, YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's management agency, declared that the performance video of BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" hit 900 million views on YouTube at 11:15 PM (KST).
It is already a year and four months since the choreography video was released last year on July 6. It is the 6th video that hit 900 million views in the span of BLACKPINK's career. This is the global k-pop girl group's first choreography video to reach the highest record of views.
