Lee Hi Participates in Spotify's Year-End Project 'Spotify Singles: Holiday Collection' 

On November 17 local time, Spotify - the world's largest music streaming platform - announced that it has added 12 new Christmas songs to its year-end project "Spotify Singles: Holiday Collection."

This year, AOMG artist Lee Hi was revealed to be one of the artists participating in the project, making her the first-ever Korean artist to do so, as well as the only Asian artist participating this year.

According to Spotify, Lee Hi will be releasing the "holiday version" and reinterpretation of her 2020 song "For You," which originally featured Crush.

The "Spotify Singles: Holiday Collection" consists of projects songs performed by various artists chosen by Spotify ahead of the Christmas season and end of the year. In addition to Lee Hi's new version of "For You," fans can also listen to different renditions of a variety of Christmas songs.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, the "Spotify Singles: Holiday Collection" has previously featured popular artists such as John Legend, Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Nora Jones, and many more.

It has established itself as a must-listen playlist during the winter festivities, and for the first time ever, this year's collection will include global artists outside of the United States, bringing in together artists of different backgrounds.

On her participation in the project, Lee Hi said, "It was really fun to make a different version of 'For You,' which was released for fans on Christmas in December of last year. Through this project with Spotify, I want to present a moment of happiness with this song at a time when warm comfort is needed."

An official from Spotify also stated, "The 'Spotify Singles: Holiday Collection' is a playlist that many people seek to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. We hope that you have a fun and happy end of the year by enjoying this collection that we have worked with hitmakers from around the world."

Meanwhile, other artists included in the playlist are Surfaces, Chandler Moore, MisterWives, jxdn, Caylee Hammack, Spoon, Nao, Ashnikko, Alexandra Streliski, El Alfa featuring El Cherry Scom, and LOVA.

Lee Hi's Latest Release

Back on September 9, Lee Hi made her comeback with the release of her third studio album "4 Only," with the track "Red Lipstick" featuring Yoon Mi Rae as the lead single.

"4 Only" marked Lee Hi's first studio album since "Seoulite," which was released back in 2016, and her first album following her departure from YG Entertainment.

"4 Only" contains a total of 10 songs: "Savior," "Intentions," "Waterride," "Bye," "Red Lipstick," "H.S.K.T," "Safety Zone," "What Is Love?," "Darling," and "Only."
