BTS on the 2021 AMA Red Carpet: Septet Gets Interviewed by People
On Nov. 21 local time, BTS showed up at the 2021 AMA held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles City in the United States.
On this day, the K-pop boy group stunned many when they appeared on the red carpet in neat suits. RM, Suga and J-Hope wear grey suits while V, Jin, Jungkook and Jimin are in black suits.
On the red carpet of the 2021 AMA, BTS had an interview with some local media, including People.
To begin the interview, the band was asked to share what it means for them to attend and be nominated at the 2021 American Music Awards.
BTS RM responded, "It has been two years and now we have come full circle. So, it really feels strange to hear the noise and face to face without masks, so it means so much and it means even more because we're nominated for the 'Artist of the Year'."
In addition to being nominated at the prestigious American awards show, BTS is also set to perform two songs at the event including their recent English-langugage single "Butter."
During the interview on the red carpet at the 2021 AMA, the K-pop group was also asked to share what their performance of their No. 1 smash hit "Butter" will look like.
BTS J-Hope simply replied, "Our performance will definitely be one for the books," suggesting that their stage will be extraordinary.
Later on, People mentioned their collaboration performance with Coldplay and asked how that collab came about and what the best thing is about working with the British rock band.
BTS RM responded," Actually, the whole process was organic. Chris expressed his song as a gift for us. So, he came to Seoul to record together with us."
In addition to RM's statement, BTS V said, "The collaboration was great and relaxed.
People then asked the septet about their upcoming four-day LA concert, particularly how they feel to be back on stage after a long time.
BTS RM shared, "We miss the air. We miss the noise. We miss [seeing] actual people. We have never seen them [in person] for two years, so we're nervous. No words can describe how excited we are to perform." J-Hope added, "It means everything."
