Minzy's Solo Comeback in December: Idol to Drop a New Single + Reveals the Timetable of Her Return
On Nov. 30, Minzy surprised fans with a poster containing the timetable of her solo comeback in December.
According to the schedule, the former 2NE1 member will begin releasing teasers on Dec. 1 with a spoiler video. It will then be followed by a concept poster, concept photos and music video teasers.
Together with the timetable, Minzy also shared a teaser image for her new single, entitled "Fantabulous." The female idol is wearing a nude top paired with white pants as she rocks a classy look with a studious pair of glasses.

Minzy's new single "Fantabulous" will be her second solo work this year following "TEAMO," which came out this past July.
In the comment section of her posts containing her comeback timetable and the teaser image, fans are expressing their excitement for Minzy's upcoming release. Even former 2NE1 member Sandara Park also left a comment. She said, "My Minzy! I'm so excited~ The song is so good!"
The other celebrities spotted in the comments are singer Eric West and actress Larsen Thompson.

Minzy's Latest Solo Comeback with "TEAMO"
On July 11, Minzy released her third single "TEAMO," which is her first music release in more than a year since her single "Lovely" was dropped in May of last year. It is also her first work under her self-established agency MZ Entertainment.

Minzy is credited as the songwriter of "TEAMO" while Sofia Ahläng, Gionata Caracciolo and Janne Hyöty are credited as composers. The song compares the feelings of not being able to see her fans in person because of the COVID-19 pandemic to the story of "Romeo and Juliet."
On July 12, Minzy's "TEAMO" found its way to various music charts. It entered Korean music charts including Bugs and MelOn. It also debuted at No. 55 on Gaon's download chart for the week ending on July 24.

Moreover, "TEAMO" entered at No. 100 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. It even made the Top 10 on iTunes Songs charts in 23 countries since it was released, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Italy and more.
On top of that, Minzy's "TEAMO" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, becoming the idol's highest-peaking song on the chart to date. It is her first Top 10 track on the tally.
Regarding this, the former 2NE1 member shared what she thinks contributed to the success of the track with NME. She said, "I think it could be because 'Teamo' ended up becoming the kind of song people could come together to sing along."
