2NE1 was supposed to release a new song, titled "Let It," which is now a B-side track from CL's "ALPHA." Continue reading to know why it wasn't pushed through.

On Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. KST, CL dropped her first full album, "ALPHA," along with the music video for the title track "Tie a Cherry."

"ALPHA" was initially scheduled to be released on Nov. 30 of last year, but it was postponed to ensure its good quality.

CL's "Let It" Was Supposed to Be Released as a 2NE1 Song, according to CL Herself

At the same time that "ALPHA" was released, CL held a live stream on TikTok to communicate with the fans and also talk about her full album.

CL's "ALPHA" consists of a total of 11 songs including the title track "Tie a Cherry," her four pre-release singles, and six new tracks, one of which is titled "Let It."

At one point during CL's TikTok live, she tackled "Let It." She shared that this track was inspired by Bruce Lee's "Be Like Water."

CL continued that she originally worked on "Let It" with her fellow former 2NE1 members Minzy, Bom, and Dara. She further said that Dara and Bom were able to complete the recording of their parts in "Let It."

On the contrary, Minzy was unable to do so because of her busy schedule. Hence, they decided not to finish it. CL then stated that she hopes Minzy would be able to record her part in the song as well. Afterward, CL shared a snippet of "Let It" featuring Dara and Bom. You can listen to it below.

Some fans who were able to hear this snippet said that Dara's voice could be heard in the bridge, while Bom's voice can be heard in the chorus after CL's part.

Because of fans' desire to hear the whole version of CL's "Let It" as a 2NE1 song, the keyword "Let It" and "2NE1" are currently trending on Twitter.

As of press time, "Let It" has more than 450,000 tweets, while "2NE1" has over 12,000 tweets.

This past April, Park Bom revealed that 2NE1 recorded a song together, but she is unsure when it will be released or if it would be released at all.

Now that CL unveiled she recorded "Let It" with her fellow former 2NE1 members, Park Bom might be referring to "Let It."

At 2 p.m. KST on Oct. 20, the title track "Tie a Cherry" debuted at No. 74 on Bugs. Some B-side songs also made it to the chart, such as "Let It" (No. 62), "Chuck" (No. 85), "Xai" (No. 89), "Paradise" (No. 91), "Siren" (No. 93), and "My Way" (No. 94).

At 3 p.m. KST, CL's "Tie a Cherry" debuted at No. 211 on Genie.

At approximately 3 p.m. KST, CL's "ALPHA" has reached three No. 1s on iTunes Album charts in Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
