EXO Kai and Red Velvet Wendy Cause People to Burst into Laughter after Their Funny Bowing Battle
On Dec. 2, EXO member Kai appeared as a guest on the radio show "Wendy's Young Street," where Red Velvet member Wendy is the main host.
On the same day, several photos of the two artists that were taken from the recent broadcast of the radio program were uploaded to an online community. The post consisting of the pictures was titled "Today's combination of Wendy and Kai was so hilarious."

The online community user who made the post stated that as soon as EXO Kai and Red Velvet Wendy saw each other at the studio, they were "chaotically" bowing to one another. They added that even after the broadcast ended, the two artists continued their adorably awkward relationship.
In Korea and other Asian countries, bowing is a sign of respect, and younger people usually bow lower than the seniors. In the case of Kai and Wendy, they are of the same age (28 years old), but the EXO member is one month older than the Red Velvet member.

However, EXO Kai wanted to show the equal amount of respect that Red Velvet Wendy showed to him, and so he matched the level of her bow.
Wendy was not having it, though, so she asked Kai to get up, and when he didn't, she suddenly disappeared from the camera as she got down to the floor. But then, Kai couldn't let that be, and so he also got down on the floor.
In the pictures the radio show shared on Instagram, it was revealed that Red Velvet Wendy was bowing so low that she's literally on the floor. This bow is used to show the highest amount of respect and is usually meant for elders or authorities.

In response to the hilarious bowing battle between Kai and Wendy, netizens left comments under the post, expressing how the two stars made them laugh so hard.
Some of the comments are "They are both really funny Lolllll (Seeing) them bowing is so frickin' funny," "Why is their bowing so funny?" and "Kai is friends with Seulgi but Wendy joined the company late so I guess they're not close. But today's bowing battle was hilarious Lolllll."

In other news, EXO Kai made his first solo comeback with a new album, titled "Peaches." The EP contains the title song "Peaches" and five other tracks.
Released on Nov. 30, Kai's "Peaches" rose to the top spot of iTunes Albums charts in a total of 58 countries, including Hong Kong, Russia, Brazil, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Greece, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
The album also ranked first on the digital album sales chart on China's QQ Music, and the title song of the same name placed No. 1 on the real-time chart of Japan's music platform AWA.
