From June to August 2018, Ahn Yujin competed on Mnet's "Produce 48" as a Starship Entertainment representative and trainee. In the finale, she ranked fifth and debuted with the project girl group IZ*ONE that year. She was promoted with the group for two and a half years until their disbandment in April 2021.
Before her debut with IZ*ONE in 2018, Ahn Yujin already had two endorsements under her belt. In 2017, she became the model for Acuvue Vita. She maintained her role as a model and ambassador for the brand until 2019, following her debut with IZ*ONE. In 2017, she was also a model for Clearteen with ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo.
