Jeon Somi Proves She is Young & Rich With $336,000+ Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon
On December 11, Jeon Somi uploaded a vlog for her "I AM SOMI : XOXO" series to the official The Black Label YouTube channel. During the video, the former I.O.I member showed off her Mercedes-Benz G65 to her viewers by bringing her vehicle to a car wash.
During the video, Jeon Somi reveals that she left her car unattended while promoting "XOXO." Now that her promotions are over, she wanted to get the car washed after not having it cleaned for a while. Time sure flies — during the first season of "I AM SOMI," viewers watched her get her drivers' license. Now, they are watching her drive her BMW to a car wash!
Jeon Somi's car is from the luxury car brand Mercedez-Benz. The car often referred to as a G-Wagen, is the brand's G65 model. It appears Jeon Somi got the car while preparing for "XOXO," as a clip of her during the music video shooting is included where she reveals she purchased the car.
To celebrate her new car, Jeon Somi decided to include the model in her lyrics for "XOXO."
The G65 model is often priced at 400 million KRW. In USD, this totals to a whopping $337,456,16!
During the vlog, Jeon Somi reveals she originally spent 30,000 to 40,000 KRW to wash her car by herself at the car wash. Though she vowed only to spend 20,000 KRW that day, she ultimately spent more than 100,000 KRW to purchase supplies to clean her car and the tires.
The idol was seen washing her car while wearing sneakers from BIGBANG G-Dragon's collaboration with Nike. Though her white sneakers were ruined at the car wash, Jeon Somi finished washing her car responsibly and was able to continue with the rest of her activities as planned.
Jeon Somi's vlogs drew hot attention from internet users. Many were focused on the fact that Jeon Somi, who was born in 2001 and is only 20 years old, is driving a luxury foreign car. Many showered her with positive comments such as, "Jeon Somi has succeeded," "It is amazing to be able to buy the car of your dreams at a young age," and "It looked like the G63 that is worth 200 million KRW, but it is the G65!"

On October 29, 2021, Jeon Somi released her first studio album, "XOXO," with the lead single of the same name. Jeon Somi's album debuted at number six on the Gaon Album Chart and sold over 55,000 copies in November. In addition, the lead single "XOXO" charted at number 43 on the Gaon Digital Chart.
Additionally, "XOXO" became Jeon Somi's first chart entry in the Billboard Global 200, peaking at 15.
