Oricon finally revealed its year-end rankings for 2021, and K-Pop artists have claimed the majority of the spots on the Japanese chart.

K-Pop Artists Dominate Oricon's Year-end Album and Singles Chart
Oricion, Japan's largest music statistics site, ends the year with its rankings of the best-selling albums and singles every year. This year, Oricon compiled the sales data made in Japan from December 28, 2020, to December 20, 2021.
With this, BTS topped the 2021 album rankings with their Japanese compilation album title "BTS, THE BEST," making them the first foreign group in the history of Oricon to top its year-end album chart. Aside from that, they are the first artist to achieve the milestone since Michael Jackson did it 37 years ago.

Along with BTS' album, "BTS, THE BEST," the group landed a total of 10 various albums on the year-end album chart.
BTS comes along with ASTRO, ENHYPEN, EXO, EXO's Baekyun, NCT, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, SHINee, TREASURE, TWICE, and TXT all secured spots on Oricon's year-end album chart this year.

Aside from the album rankings chart, a lot of K-pop artists also secured multiple spots on the Year-end Singles Chart of Oricon, it ranks the best-selling single albums during the past year, the chart includes ENHYPEN, JYJ's Kim Jaejoong, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and TWICE.
