BTS Suga's Spotify Monthly Listeners Reaches 11 Million, First Korean Male Soloist to Hit the Record

BTS Suga sets a new record on Spotify with 11 million monthly listeners! The composer from BTS achieves more listeners than his fellow members.

BTS Suga Sets A Record of Having 11 Million Monthly Listeners

BTS Suga has been achieving continuous records on Spotify with the release of the song, "Girl Of My Dreams" by Juice WRLD where he is a featured artist.

Spotify daily updates the count of their monthly listeners, and Suga came out to have surpassed eight million, a record held by his fellow BTS member RM with 7,849,965.

Later on, Suga exceeded nine million monthly listeners, he is now the first and only Korean male soloist to hit the mark.

Suga however, continues to reach even higher records on the world's biggest music platform.
He now holds the record of having the highest monthly listeners made by a Korean male soloist on Spotify.

Aside from that, Suga becomes the first and only male soloist from Korea to reach 11 million listeners on the platform quickly.

Moreover, BTS Suga is now the 486th most listened-to artist all over the world on the platform.

BTS Suga Gets Another Million Streams on Spotify

On January 4 (KST), "Blueberry Eyes (feat. SUGA of BTS)" by pop singer MAX, which features BTS Suga, has surpassed 158 million streams on Spotify.

It was released on September 16, 2020, and it is a song that Max wrote for his wife.

Max joined Suga by featuring in "Burn It" of Agust D's "D-2," and "Blueberry Eyes" is the second collaboration between Suga and Max.

Max successfully held their first concert in Seoul in 2020. After meeting for the first time in Seoul last year, Suga and Max have been steadily maintaining their relationship by watching NBA games together in Los Angeles.

Suga Recovers From COVID-19 Infection, Gets Out of Quarantine

A few days ago, BTS Suga, together with his fellow members RM and Jin, were tested positive for COVID-19 and they immediately went into quarantine.

On January 3, BTS' management agency, Big Hit Music, announced through the group's Weverse that Suga was released from quarantine at 12 noon on the same day.

Suga has been receiving home treatment for 10 days since December 24, 2021. He was able to resume his daily activities and push through with his long vacation from the day that his quarantine was lifted.

However, Suga still chose to stay at home to have more rest and fully recover.

Aside from that, the agency expresses its gratitude to the fans for worrying about the K-pop idol's health and also the medical staff who work hard in battling COVID-19.

Suga was verified to be a breakthrough infection although he had completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Aside from Suga, BTS members RM and Jin were diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 25, 2021, and both have been receiving treatment until now.

Meanwhile, BTS has been on their second official long vacation since their debut on December 6, last year. The group plans to hold a face-to-face concert in Seoul in March, and plans to release a new album this year.
