The talk started when a netter wrote a post with the title, "Before and after Jang Wonyoung's makeup style changed," and emphasized the difference in her visuals. In the post, a comparative picture of makeup changes by Jang Wonyoung also caught the attention of netizens.
In particular, Jang Wonyoung who joined Mnet's "Produce 48" in 2018 made her way as the "Top Pick" and became the center of IZ*ONE, a girl group produced from the show.
During her IZ*ONE career, K-pop fans loved her bunny-like image, where the "FIESTA" singer still has her chubby cheeks. At that time, the 14-year-old idol was also treated like a "giant baby" for being the tallest member despite being the youngest.

On the flip side, when Wonyoung re-debut as a member of IVE in 2021, the now 17-year-old star started flaunting her mature side by wearing fancier makeup. The "ELEVEN" singer emphasized her eyeliner and mascara, as well as applied more blush to show off her rosy cheeks.
