Kep1er Receives Silver Certification Plaque by Hanteo Chart for Highest First Week Sales with Debut Album 'FIRST IMPACT'
On January 25, Hanteo Chart announced that "Girls Planet 999" project girl group Kep1er was awarded the First Week Sales - also known as the Initial Chodong - certification plaque through an announcement on Whosfan TV's official Youtube channel and Hanteo News.
According to Hanteo Chart, the nine-member rookie group was given a certification plaque for their debut album "FIRST IMPACT."
Released on January 3 of this year, "FIRST IMPACT" had achieved more than 200,000 copies sold in its first week of release, eventually setting a new record among debut albums by girl groups and being one of the highly-anticipated debuts in 2022.

To commemorate their amazing achievement given their newly-debuted status, Hanteo Chart issued Kep1er a silver certification plaque, which is awarded only to those who have exceeded 200,000 in sales figures during the first week upon release.
With this certification, the "WA DA DA" songstresses have solidified themselves as a rookie girl group with global potential, and is a girl group one should keep an eye out for in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the Hanteo Chart Official First Week Sales certification plaque commemorates and certifies the official record of an artist who has exceeded a certain figure in terms of sales based on the data of their first week sales compiled by Hanteo Chart, the world's only real-time music chart.
By being awarded a certification plaque, Kep1er is proving themselves to be an artist who is making significant achievements in both the K-Pop industry and around the world.

Who is Kep1er?
Kep1er is a girl group formed through Mnet's reality survival program "Girls Planet 999," where 99 trainees of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean descent competed for a chance to debut in the project group.
Kep1er is currently made up of the top nine trainees on the show: CLC's Choi Yujin, Shen Xiaoting, Mashiro Sakamato, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Hikaru Ezaki, Huening Bahiyyih, Seo Youngeun, and Kang Yeseo.
The group was initially slated to debut back in December, however, as members Shen Xiaoting and Mashiro Sakamoto, as well as a related staff contracted COVID-19, the debut was pushed back to a later date.
Aside from group activities, member Kim Chaehyun is serving as a host for SBS MTV's "The Show."
