Most Watched Female Idol Videos 2021: IU, BLACKPINK, SNSD Taeyeon, More RANKED
While there is a plethora of female K-pop idols, not everyone has a huge following like IU, aespa, BLACKPINK, Girls' Generation Taeyeon, and more.
On January 30, online platform Theqoo released the full list of the most-watched female idol videos of 2021. The rankings are based on the number of views on YouTube.
The videos were analyzed from Dec. 26, 2020 to Dec. 26, 2021.
IU, BLACKPINK, aespa: Most Watched Female Idols on YouTube in 2021
At the top of the list is IU with 649 million views, while lagging not so close behind her is BLACKPINK with 315 million views.
Third on the list is aespa with 249 million views, and TWICE with 237 million views landed on the top four.

Other female Kpop idols that ranked fifth to tenth are Brave Girls, Oh My Girl, Red Velvet, ITZY, IZ*ONE, and SNSD Taeyeon.
Female artists who made it to 11th to 30th are STAYC, (G)I-DLE, GFriend, MAMAMOO, Chungha, Sunmi, fromis_9, Girls' Generation, HyunA, Eunji, Apink, T-ara, A-Pink, LABOUM, Jeon Somi, 2NE1, LOONA, APRIL, Lovelyz, BoA, and Cosmic Girls.

However, it is important to note that the rankings were solely based on the number of total views on YouTube. As such, other lists may feature different K-pop idols.
For instance, Genius Korea shared its list of the most outstanding K-pop solo artists of 2021. In first place is Rosé from BLACKPINK followed by co-member Lisa. IU trailed next, then CL, Lee Hi, Seori, BLACKPINK Jennie, Jeon Somi, Hyuna, and Sunmi.
Who is IU?
Lee Ji Eun, a.k.a IU, is a 28-year-old female actress and singer from South Korea. Her stage name is inspired by the words I and you, which symbolizes the coming together of the two through music.
IU has been in the music industry for 13 years. She debuted her first mini-album, "Lost and Found" in 2008 when she was just 15 years old.

Some of her hit songs include "Nagging," "Good Day," "Only I Didn't Know," "You & I," "Peach," "Ending Scene," and so much more.

BLACKPINK is a female group from South Korea that debuted their first mini-album in 2016. They consist of Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé.
The quartet is one of the most popular all-female K-pop groups of their generation. In fact, even those that do not listen to Kpop music know who BLACKPINK is.
Some of their most popular songs include "How You Like That," "Ice Cream," "Kill This Love," "Lovesick Girls," "Pretty Savage," and more.
