SEVENTEEN Teases Comeback For Web Series 'Going Seventeen'

"Going Seventeen" is coming back in 2022! CARATs worldwide are pumped with excitement for the boy group's web series' new season.

CARATs won't have to wait for so long for the hilarious content by SEVENTEEN members because new episodes of the "Going Seventeen" web series will be aired beginning on February 9 at 9PM (KST).

After the pilot episode, new episodes will be released every Wednesday at 9PM as well.

To tease the upcoming return of "Going Seventeen" this year, SEVENTEEN unveiled a brand new opening title sequence film last February 2. The teaser fueled the excitement of CARATs worldwide.

The new title sequence features the theme song of "Going Seventeen" which is sung by SEVENTEEN members. Aside from that, images that highlight some of the best scenes from the first season of "Going Seventeen" can be seen in the opening credits.

Meanwhile, fans praised the "Going Seventeen" series throughout 2021 for its entertaining content and great production.

Carats lauded the "Going Seventeen" web series in 2021 because of its entertaining content and perfect production.

Aside from that, SEVENTEEN released the "GOING COMMENTARY" on the group's official YouTube channel last January 19. "GOING COMMENTARY" is a special video produced by SEVENTEEN directly to CARATs who are patiently waiting for the comeback of "Going Seventeen," the content also features honest and pleasant stories, behind-the-scenes, and Q&A.

"Going Seventeen" provides new content like comedy, old-fashioned entertainment series, chases, horror specials, solid directing, and attractions that can be enjoyed easily and comfortably by anyone regardless of their generation or nationality. It is gaining great popularity as it stands tall as "K-Pop's best own content," surpassing 270 million cumulative views (as of January 21).

Moreover, "Going Seventeen" captivates the attention of CARATs and K-pop enthusiasts beyond the fandom. Aside from the mentioned title, the web series is also recognized as a "National Web Entertainment."

In particular, "Going Seventeen" surpassed 270 million cumulative views with just two seasons in 2020 and 2021. It has an average of over 3.62 million and 2.44 million views per episode, respectively. The web series proved SEVENTEEN's extraordinary popularity.

SEVENTEEN's 'Power of Love' Goes Platinum in Japan

SEVENTEEN's Japanese EP "Power of Love" was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

According to the RIAJ, "Power of Love" sold more than 250,000 copies last December.

In 2021, the boy group earned two other platinum certifications for the EPs "Your Choice" and "Attacca."

The RIAJ certifies music based on sales including hardcopy CD purchases and online downloads. Singles, EPs, or albums earn gold certification for more than 100,000 copies sold, platinum for 250,000, double platinum for 500,000, and triple platinum for 750,000. The album that has over 1 million copies sold earns a "million" certification.

SEVENTEEN released "Power of Love," or "Aino Chikara" in Japanese, last December 8. It was SEVENTEEN's sixth Japanese EP. It consists of three songs: the title track and Japanese versions of the songs "Home" and "Snap Shot."
