MAMADOL Sunye Shares How She Feels Marrying Her Husband at a Young Age
Recently, former Wonder Girls member and now MAMADOL member, Sunye, made a guest appearance on the February 9 episode of MBC's variety program "Radio Star." In this episode, the "Radio Star" hosts mentioned Sunye's marriage.
Back in 2013, Sunye surprised everyone when she announced her marriage to Korean-Canadian missionary James Park, and subsequently stopping her promotions with Wonder Girls.

Her marriage had also been a hot topic among fans as Sunye was only 24 years old (in Korean age) at that time, which is rare for someone who is an idol.
Regarding her marriage, Sunye explained that she was an only child and would often feel lonely during her childhood days. And since her grandparents were the ones who raised her, she had always dreamed of having her own family and becoming a mother one day.

Sunye on 'Radio Star'
"At that time when I got married, a lot of people had made comments like this to me, 'Don't you think you are getting married a little too early?' or 'Aren't you too young to be getting married already?'" Sunye recalled.
She then expressed her true feelings about getting married, and whether or not she regretted her decision to marry at such a young age.
"But for me, that was the right time to get married. When I look back on my life, I feel like it was completely natural for me to have gotten married at around that time of my life. I have no regrets," Sunye said.

The "Radio Star" hosts then asked if Sunye still has any sort of fantasy about her husband, James Park, to which Sunye playfully said no, and wondered how she "could possibly still have it," making everyone laugh.
Sunye then continued to talk about her husband, saying, "Whenever he blows his nose, he is so loud. When he starts blowing his nose, he would blow it like 10 times in a row. I can even hear the sound [of him blowing his nose] when I am in the basement. It is insane!"
Meanwhile, following Sunye's marriage to James Park, she moved to Canada and gave birth to three daughters.

In other news, Sunye appeared as a cast member on the tvN reality program "Mama The Idol," which featured former K-Pop idols who left the industry to become a mother. "Mama The Idol" eventually launched the project girl group MAMADOL, in which Sunye is a main vocalist.
Sunye also collaborated with 2AM's Seulong to release "Goodbye in Broad Day."
