It is known that IVE Jang Wonyoung had not been separated from negative comments even before she debuted in IZ*ONE. She is even considered an idol with just a pretty face. Now, she is getting the respect and praise she deserves.

At a young age, Jang Wonyoung was scouted by Starship Entertainment on the streets after attending her older sister's middle school graduation ceremony. She then trained under the label for one year and two months before participating in "Produce 48" in 2018.

Wonyoung then debuted as the center of IZ*ONE in October 2018. After two years and six months, IZ*ONE disbanded and Jang started home-school in April 2019. At present, she is a practical music major at the School of Performing Arts.
Besides her activities in IVE, Jang Wonyoung also currently hosts the music show "Music Bank" along with ENHYPEN Sunghoon.
