Our Top 8 Moments from Ateez World Tour (The Fellowship): Beginning Of The End In Newark!

If you were around Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center on January 24th, you might have been confronted with a storming wave: a wave of ATINYs, armed with flashing LIGHTINYs and dressed to take to a killer stage (...or, appropriately for the cold weather.)

It was that wave that ATEEZ rode all the way to the stage for the Newark stop of their ATEEZ World Tour The Fellowship: Beginning of the End! In true Pirate King fashion, ATEEZ made the night, and all of ATINYs’ hearts, their own.

For ATINYs, the fact that eight makes one team comes as second nature — so, we’ve compiled the eight moments from ATEEZ’s Newark tour stop that made the night so unforgettable. Let’s dive in!

1. The beginning of the beginning of the end – or, the unparalleled hype of "Pirate King"

ATEEZ’s “Pirate King” always marks the start of remarkable things: ATEEZ’s own career, and their Newark tour stop. The debut song got the entire arena hot — literally, lighting up fans with explosive pyrotechnics as they yelled along to the lyrics, “We gon’ get it!” Between ATEEZ’s flawless choreography, backup dancers waving flags triumphantly behind them, and the atmospheric pyrotechnics, ATINYs were swept along into ATEEZ’s fury. (We wouldn’t have it any other way.)

2. Seonghwa sharing his dreams with Atiny (and it becoming true!)

A switch in tone from the hype of their performances, ATEEZ held a ment in which the members shared their recent dreams. Seonghwa told ATINYs of one where he was floating in space, and stars appeared one by one. With love, he then shared that the dream was how he felt in that moment with ATINYs, their LIGHTINYs like stars in the dark arena. The night was a dream come true for both ATEEZ and ATINYs — and it had only just gotten started!

3. The mind-boggling, magical theatrics of "Take Me Home"

ATINYs are no stranger to ATEEZ being masters of the stage, but their performance of “Take Me Home” took it to the next level! The eight members pushed the limits of the stage to their fullest by using moving, mirrored platforms to play with illusions, melding magic show and music performance. The mirrors allowed members to appear and disappear on the stage at will. Each second of the song took ATINYs to a different dimension! It’s one performance that we won’t forget (nor could we forget the ethereal look of San in a lace blindfold, which Mingi called “so sexy”).

4. ATEEZ admiring their members (with some showing off, as well!)

During another ment, leader Hongjoong asked members to share what features of other members they would like to have in a brief moment of admiration.

Yunho, shyly nominated by Hongjoong to speak, spoke highly of the group’s maknae Jongho. “When you think of Jongho, you think of his amazing voice!” Of course, Jongho had to sing after, serenading Prudential Center with Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor.” His honey vocals had the entire arena swooning.

As for Hongjoong himself, he’d want to steal Wooyoung’s facials! Wooyoung was then subject to wave of affection from his members: Mingi squishing his arms, Jongho joining in on Mingi’s arm-squishing, and Yeosang referring to his muscles as “angry arms.” Jongho even mentioned that he once hit Wooyoung’s arms with his hand and thought his fingers were going to break — his power!

The ment was full of love, and it was so cute for ATINYs to get a glimpse at the admiration that members share for each other.

 5. ATINYs coming together to do a wave – with a superhero surprise!

An arena tour stop can never be complete without the audience performing a huge wave for their artist, and ATINYs delivered! During a ment, Seonghwa requested a wave across Prudiential Center. Seeing the crowd of ATINYs together after so long apart put a sparkle in each ATEEZ member’s eyes.

The hype only grew as Hongjoong picked an ATEEZ member to give a secret to their ATINYs: Yunho! Yunho asked ATINYs if they knew the Amazing Spiderman, then quoted an iconic line: “With great power, comes great responsibility.”

He showed off his immense power by power-posing across the stage: with a bang, he sent a blast into the audience of ATINYs, who responded with another wave across the arena! No more Yunho Spiderman AUs, folks — Yunho is Spiderman in this universe.

6. The beginning of the end of the Beginning of the End — or, where ATINYs get to bask in ATEEZ’ “Eternal Sunshine!”

The brightest boys come out to celebrate one of their brightest songs! ATEEZ’ “Eternal Sunshine” was filled with immaculate, playful vibes, with each member dressed in their tour merch and dancing around. If we could sum it up in a word, we’d use “bubbly,” in honor of the bubbly atmosphere, and the softly blown bubbles that accompanied the boys’ antics on stage!

ATEEZ truly shined like eternal sunshine with this song, and you just couldn’t stop the feeling of ATINYs’ love radiating towards the members! With little moments like Yeosang leading everyone in a groovy dance, Jongho taking every moment to belt like a king, and San and Wooyoung holding hands for the perfect ending-fairy shot, “Eternal Sunshine became one of our favorite performances of the night.

 7. The stars (and tears) coming out for Star 1117.

ATINYs brought out the stars for ATEEZ’s performance of Star 1117, lighting up Prudential Center with the lights from their LIGHTINYs and phones. Seonghwa’s dream — of stars slowly appearing from the darkness — really came true.

ATEEZ sang beautifully, looking for star, looking for love, and finding it in their ATINYs. Most of the members spent the song staring across the venue, admiring just how many ATINYs came to support them across the world. Hongjoong, the fearless leader himself, even started to shed tears of joy — it was that meaningful to them.

“If there’s no ATINYs, there’s no ATEEZ,” shared San at the end of the song. “You guys are the only ones for me! ATEEZ will always pave the way — just follow us!” And follow them, ATINYs will!

 8. The end of the Beginning of the End; ATEEZ’ perfect goodbye with “Turbulence.”

It’s so hard to say goodbye to a night that you’ve waited so long to arrive to, but ATEEZ still brought their charms to each moment of “Turbulence.” The ending song was full of affection for their ATINYs: members were waving and sending hearts to every section of Newark’s Prudential Center.

The team even brought humor to the stage when they could! Shoutout to ATEEZ’ incredible backup dancers, making their goodbye with a skit of them playing baseball complete with a stunning homerun.

Nevertheless, The Beginning of the End had to come to an end. ATEEZ made sure to fill each moment with love for ATINY, with a cute back-and-forth dialogue between members: “I love you!”, “I love you, too!” and “I love you three!” ringing out towards the crowd.

With the energy that ATINYs had shared that night, it was clear what their response was: “We love you eight!” The eight members of ATEEZ had brought flawless performances, endless charisma, and all of the joy they could muster to the stage, and it was an absolute pleasure to see.

While the Newark stop of ATEEZ’ World Tour (The Fellowship): Beginning Of The End had come to an end, it’s clear that ATEEZ’ adventures (and their love for ATINY!) will continue on forever. We’re so excited to continue to watch them shine eternally!
