Girls' Generation Seohyun Shares Thoughts on Public Wedding Proposals

Unlike some who enjoy the attention, Girls' Generation Seohyun said that she would prefer a more private engagement with her future partner. After all, she knows that saying no to a marriage proposal in public would be heartbreaking for him.

However, Seohyun isn't also one to lie to her partner. So, she can't accept his proposal in public just to take it back later on when the cameras are no longer rolling.

But Girls' Generation Seohyun was simply talking about an engagement that she's not ready for.

The K-pop idol said that if she and her partner are on the same page about getting engaged then it would also be nice to have the proposal take place in public.

Girls' Generation Seohyun said that it would be a memorable experience to have her family and friends around when she gets proposed to.

Girls' Generation Seohyun Opens Up About Love, Relationships

As of writing, Seohyun isn't dating anyone, but this doesn't mean that she has never found love before.

During her appearance in "A Hyung I Know," she revealed that she was in a relationship some time ago and that it didn't work out.

As a result, Girls' Generation Seohyun said that she even cried after the relationship ended.

At the time, she didn't reveal the identity of her ex-boyfriend but confirmed that he's also from the same industry.

Since then, there's no indication that Seohyun has fallen in love again. In fact, she also revealed that her busy work schedule has prevented her from dating and going out often.

In 2011, Seohyun appeared in an episode of "The Beatles Code," where she revealed that she's not usually after a man's appearance. Instead, she tends to gravitate towards men that have wonderful personalities.

More specifically, she said that she likes men with their own philosophy and thirst for life. She also said that she likes men that are deeply rooted in their beliefs.

Seohyun also like men that are polite and that have good manners. Of course, they also need to have a positive outlook on life.

But just two years later, Girls' Generation Seohyun seemingly changed her answer when it comes to her ideal man. She admitted that looks were as important as a man's personality.

In 2017, Girls' Generation Seohyun name-dropped two K-drama actors as her ideal type but for entirely different reasons. She said she wants a man who is as friendly and caring as Lee Cheol Woo and who's also gentle and humorous like Lee Yi Kyung.
