Who is the world's most popular K-pop star? In a survey, BLACKPINK, BTOB, and DREAMCATCHER, top the rankings in seven countries.
On March 7, KTOWN4U announces its first "search ranking in seven countries," using big data on K-pop online search terms. In particular, the global fandom online mall aggregates and analyzes K-pop fans' online search terms to determine the most popular groups in each country.
The site plans to release the rankings monthly. The result will be based on indicators such as sales forecasting, and their popularity based on searches.
Here Are The #1 K-pop Groups in 7 Countries: BLACKPINK, TREASURE, BTOB, MORE
For February 2022, global girl group BLACKPINK proved its popularity in China, climbing two notches from the previous month.
Along with them, their junior group TREASURE topped two countries including Japan and Indonesia, securing their spot in January.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids flaunted popularity in North America, sitting atop rankings in the U.S. and Mexico. The group also showcased skyrocketing impact by climbing nine spots in the U.S. charts compared to January.
Following them, the girl group Dreamcatcher continuously dominates the U.K., ranking No. 1 in January, and February in a row.
Lastly, the third-gen group BTOB proved its undying favor from K-pop enthusiasts particularly from their domestic supporters. They jumped to the 1st spot in Korea, thanks to their recent comeback and KTOWN4U event by the Samsung branch.

Among second-gen groups, Super Junior who has been active for about 17 years, also showed its influence and ranked in the top 10 in three countries including Indonesia (6th), Mexico (7th), and the UK (9th).
Their co-SM Entertainment artists Taeyeon of Girls' Generation also ranked in the top 10 of six countries.
Lastly, NMIXX showed their rapid rise in the K-pop industry, making their entry in Korea (7th), as well as in Japan (9th), and the UK (10th).

Choi Won-joon, CEO of KTOWN4U, said, "2.5 million search terms per month in connection with 5,200 fan clubs around the world will reflect the latest trends in the K-POP industry and global fandom as well as purchase intentions."
They also plans to continue to disclose its search rankings from seven countries through its blog every month.
Meanwhile, KTOWN4U which has 4.2 million members worldwide, generated sales of KRW 216.5 billion last year. 90% of which are overseas reverse purchases, and has the most big data related to K-pop stars. It is loved as a sacred place for fans' albums and goods shopping.
