Voice Actor Ahn Ji Hwan Recalls How He Taught BTS Voice Acting
Recently, award winning voice actor Ahn Ji Hwan made a guest appearance on the March 16 broadcast of the popular MBC talk show program, "Radio Star."
During his guest appearance, Ahn Ji Hwan shared some of his experiences and answered questions from the cast.
In particular, Ahn Ji Hwan mentioned his experience working with global superstars, BTS, for an episode of their hit variety show, "Run BTS," back in 2021.

Ahn Ji Hwan shared that BTS was the most famous artists he has worked with, and that he was contacted by the group's label Big Ht Music.
"The most famous artist I have worked with recently was BTS. Someone from BTS' side called me saying, 'This is BTS' company,'" Ahn Ji Hwan said.

He went on to say that Big Hit Music had contacted him to ask if he could teach the members how to voice dub, and revealed that they had watched Ahn Ji Hwan's episode on the variety program "Infinite Challenge."
"They said it would be nice if I could teach BTS like that so we scheduled [the lesson] it and I went [to teach them]! They are the stars of stars... world stars, right?" Ahn Ji Hwan said excitedly.

He also revealed what he was proud of the most about teaching the BTS members "from the bottom of his heart."
"The company called Walt Disney is very strict when it comes to managing their copyrights, to the extend that you can't use anything, like their audios and videos," the voice actor began.
He continued, "Walt Disney is very strict. But! For BTS, Walt Disney released all copyrights for them. I was so amused. So I had asked, 'This may be subject to copyright?' And BTS' staff said, 'No, Walt Disney released the copyrights for us. BTS can use them all.'"

Ahn Ji Hwan was then asked which BTS member he thought was the best at dubbing, to which he chooses the group's eldest member, Jin!
"They are all good. But if I had to choose someone among the members to work with as a voice actor, I think Jin was the best. He did took it [voice acting] really seriously," Ahn Ji Hwan said.
Closing the topic, Ahn Ji Hwan also mentions how a staff had offered to take a commemorative photo of him and BTS, and that they would send it to him. However, Ahn Ji Hwan ends up sending a video message to the staff begging for the photo.
Ahn Ji-Hwan, who coached BTS for this run episode chose Kim Seokjin as the BEST at dubbing (Voice Acting).

"After we took the photo, a staff member said they would send it to me. But, excuse me! Please send them to me quickly! Why aren't you sending it to me? Please! At least just the photo! Ahn Ji Hwan said, making others laugh.
Meanwhile, BTS had dubbed several scenes from Disney films.
