JYP Entertainment Expects to Debut New Groups in Korea, US, Japan, China in 2023

According to financial analysts, JYP Entertainment plans to launch four groups in 2023. Along with this report, the agency also updated the future schedules of TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY this 2022.

On March 22, Eugene Investment & Securities reported on the investment price of JYP Entertainment this year. While on the topic, the analyst also hinted at JYP's artist plans in 2022-2023.

"Next year, a team of rookies will debut in Korea, China, Japan, and the United States respectively. There will be plenty of rookie momentum."

Based on this report, it is expected that JYP will finally launch its new boy group in Korea. It consists of members from SBS "LOUD."

In particular, from June to September 2021, J.Y. Park x Psy organized the survival reality show to form two global boy groups. At the end of the show, JYP Entertainment formed a pre-debut team composed of five members including Yoon Min, Lee Gyehun, Amaru, Keiju, and Lee Donghyeon.

Meanwhile, another boy group will be introduced in Japan, following the success of NiziU. It will be the male version of the girl group.

The third team will then be launched in the US, which will be managed by their newly opened branch JYP USA.

Lastly, JYP's Chinese trainee team in China called Project C is also expected to finally debut next year. Currently, the group has six members including Luo Yan, Victor, Xi Jie, Wen Jin, Yuan Hao, and Ze Xin.

TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY to Expand in the US

Additionally, Eugene Investment & Securities hinted at the expansion of JYP Entertainment in the US through TWICE, Stray Kids and ITZY.

"Based on TWICE's increasing contribution to North American sales through Republic Records, we expect significant results from the full-fledged distribution and marketing of content in the US.

Following TWICE's US tour last month, Stray Kids is also preparing seven performances for a tour in the same country which will be held in the second half of the year.

In regards with ITZY and NiziU, the investment analyst said:

"We are looking forward to tours of our artists such as ITZY and NiziU."

Lastly, the investment company revealed that aside from launching new groups, JYP will also expand its power through MD.

"JYP Entertainment plans to expand its MD Merchandising business through its mall launch in the first half of the year."

JYP Entertainment Following Footsteps of HYBE?

In line with this move, Meritz Securities claimed that JYP is trying to play a strategy similar to HYBE, home to BTS, SEVENTEEN, more.

"JYP's strategy is becoming similar to HYBE. It is similar in that it produces many rookies annually and tries to make a K-pop system in the U.S. We are preparing to develop planned products (MD) and intellectual property (IP) businesses by establishing JYP360."

Adding:

"The HYBE method is a total sales method, and there is a disadvantage that recognized sales increase rapidly, but the company's cost structure becomes heavy. This method is interesting in that it is a method that JYP has thoroughly avoided It is time to pay attention to new challenges."
