ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's "REFUGE" First-Week Sales Amount Is Nearly Three Times Higher Than Their Previous Record

On March 23, Hanteo Chart officially announced through their Twitter account the first-week sales of ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's second mini-album "REFUGE."

"REFUGE" arrived on March 15 along with the music video for the title song "WHO." This mini-album marks the duo's first comeback since their debut as ASTRO's first sub-unit in September 2020.

According to Hanteo Chart, ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's "REFUGE" sold a total of 137,755 copies from March 15 to 21. The mini-album has nearly tripled the sub-unit's initial first-week sales record of 47,898 copies achieved by their debut mini-album "IN-OUT."

Notably, "REFUGE" managed to surpass the duo's previous record within just two days of release. On March 15 and 16, the five-track album sold 33,354 copies and 42,626 copies, respectively, for a total of 75,980 copies.

Apart from breaking ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's first-week sales record, "REFUGE" has also claimed the title for the sub-unit's highest first-day sales (33,354 copies). "IN-OUT" only sold 29,301 copies on Sept. 14, 2020.

Given that the duo's "REFUGE" first-week sales figure is almost three times higher than that of their previous album, it is safe to say that Moonbin and Sanha's fandom had grown significantly following their debut.

ASTRO's "REFUGE" and "WHO" Top iTunes Charts Around the World

After it came out on March 15, ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's "REFUGE" secured the top spot on iTunes Album charts in 10 different countries including Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Turkey, the Philippines, Chile, and more.

The mini-album also ranked second in Thailand and placed third in four regions such as Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Denmark. Moreover, it scored No. 1 on the iTunes K-pop Album chart in Turkey and placed No. 2 in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Brazil.

"REFUGE" had successfully debuted at No. 6 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and entered at No. 66 on the European iTunes Album Chart.

Meanwhile, the title song "WHO" rose to No. 1 on iTunes Song charts in seven countries like Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Bolivia among others. The track also soared to No. 1 on iTunes K-pop Song charts in Chile, Argentina, and Mexico. It ranked No. 2 in Brazil, Turkey, and Colombia.

In Chile, the B-sides from ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's "REFUGE" also landed on the chart.

ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha’s ‘REFUGE’ Smashes Duo’s Best Record for First-Week Sales

Over on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, "WHO" debuted at No. 35. This is their second time landing on the tally, following "Ghost Town" this past February.

In South Korea, "WHO" debuted at No. 44 on Bugs and No. 198 on Genie at 7 p.m. KST on March 15. It then rose to No. 31 at 9 a.m. KST the following day.

ASTRO Moonbin&Sanha's "WHO" music video is also doing well on YouTube. It recorded a 24-hour view count of more than 1.7 million, surpassing the sub-unit's previous record of 1.1 million views with "Bad Idea." As of this writing, the "WHO" MV had already over 11.37 million views.
