'Midnight Sun' 2022 Cast: SHINee Onew, Kwon Eun Bi, More to Join Musical in May
The return of global box office hit musical, "Midnight Sun," in 2022 is finally confirmed! Along with the news, the new cast who will play the beloved role of Haram and Haena were revealed, including SHINee Onew, Apink Namjoo, Kwon Eun Bi, more!

On March 24, production company Shinswave released a strong casting list for the youth melodrama musical "Midnight Sun."
The company announced that K-pop artists SHINee Onew, Apink Namjoo, Ha Sung Woon, PENTAGON Jinho, Golden Child Y, Kwon Eun Bi will join musical actors Lee Sang Ah and Song Gun Hee as the new cast for the much-awaited return of the musical.

Among the 2021 original cast which includes GOT7 Youngjae, DAY6 Wonpil, NU'EST Baekho, former LOVELYZ Kei, only SHINee Onew will return for this year's showing.
In particular, the main vocalist who led the premiere of the box office success musical will once again play the role of Haram, a shy yet pure and bright boy who likes to surf with his friends. Prior to the musical in May, Onew will return as a soloist in April.
Along with him, PENTAGON's Jinho, who showed his ability as a musical actor through "All Shook Up" and "Iron Mask" will also join the musical playing the same role.
Ha Sung Woon will also challenge his first musical role as Haram of "Midnight Sun." Following his success as Wanna One & HOTSHOT member as well as a soloist, the expectation is high whether what kind of performance he will show through his debut musical.
Lastly, Golden Child's Y who has been building his acting career will also join another musical following success of "Alta Boyz."
On the other hand, top-tier female idols will also play the role of the female main character Haena, a strong-minded girl who loves guitars and songs.
One of them will be Kim Namjoo, a member of the group Apink, who shows off her unique active charm across various entertainment and web dramas.
Another one would be Kwon Eun Bi, a former IZ*ONE member who is currently reigning the K-pop stage as a solo artist.
It is rumored that Kim Namjoo and Kwon Eun Bi will also make their musical debut through "Midnight Sun." According to Shinswave, the two idols along with musical actress Lee Sang Ah are focusing on guitar practice to completely embody the role of Haena who is a singer-songwriter in the play.

Meanwhile, "Midnight Sun" which will come back with a spectacular cast is expected to fill viewers with various emotions and reminds them of their moment of first love with bright and fresh emotions.
The musical will open on May 3, but Shinswave already unveiled the first ticket opening schedule.
Reservations for the performance will begin on April 5 and online tickets can be purchased at Meta Theater, a global platform specializing in performances, and offline ticket reservations will be announced later.
Visitors can visit Meta Theater (online) and KEPCO Art Center (offline) located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and continue until June 26.
