WJSN's Opening Stage for 'QUEENDOM 2' Earns Applause Because of THIS
On March 31, the popular Mnet reality show "Queendom" will begin airing its second season. Girls' Generation member Taeyeon will host the show, and the K-pop artists competing on the program are Brave GIrls, VIVIZ, Kep1er, WJSN, Loona and Hyolyn.

Mnet has released teaser images for the contestants with the "Run the World" concept to promote the show. In addition, they have also released the "Opening Show" for all six artists. This gives viewers a glimpse into who the artists are and what kind of performances they will put out.
Among the six performances, WJSN's "Save Me, Save You" is one that especially attracted the attention of the K-pop community. Why?

The girls appeared on stage with beautiful, dark blue outfits during their performance. However, they transform their outfits in the middle of the song with a single turn. The original blue dress turned into a white dress in a flash!

This is not an uncommon move in K-pop and has been done on several stages throughout the years. A notable example is when Red Velvet member Joy went viral in 2013 during her "Marry You" performance with BTOB's Yook Sungjae. She starts the performance in a red dress but soon changes into a white wedding dress with a simple turn.

Although not the first artist to make such a move on stage, WJSN still captivated the audience with great visual effects. Many were enamored by the stunning dresses and the members' impressive height and visuals. The stage concept perfectly matches WJSN's English name, Cosmic Girls.

After the "Opening Show," all six teams was posted. WJSN ranked at the top of the MelOn Real-Time Search. In addition, they were the only competitors on "QUEENDOM 2" to enter the top-trending on Korean Twitter. This shows that the group is proving themselves as a formidable opponent. They are fully capable of grasping the crown in the finale.
The One Criticism for WJSN's 'Opening Show' Performance for 'QUEENDOM 2'
The only negative point people could find is that not all WJSN members were present. Dawon is currently on hiatus due to anxiety. Bona is drawing fame for her performance on the drama "Twenty Five, Twenty One." She will be unable to participate in the first two rounds due to scheduling conflicts.
