IVE Surpasses (G)I-DLE's Record for Third-Highest First-Day Sales in 2022
IVE's "LOVE DIVE" has dethroned (G)I-DLE's "I NEVER DIE" as the 2022 K-pop album by a female artist with the third-highest first-day sales on the Hanteo Chart.

On April 5, Starship Entertainment's new girl group, IVE, made their first-ever comeback with their second single album "LOVE DIVE," which comes with two new songs "LOVE DIVE" and "Royal."

On the following day, Hanteo Chart revealed the final count of the first-day album sales of "LOVE DIVE." It recorded a total of 120,345 copies. It is more than the group's previous record of 56,209 copies sold by "ELEVEN" on Dec. 1, 2021.
Hanteo also announced that the two-track single album ranked first on the daily album chart on April 5.

Apart from breaking their best record for highest first-day sales, IVE's "LOVE DIVE" also achieved the new third-highest first-day sales for a female K-pop artist this 2022. It has surpassed (G)I-DLE's "I NEVER DIE," which only had 88,232 copies sold on March 14.

It now follows Red Velvet's "The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm" and Kep1er's "FIRST IMPACT" on the list of highest first-day sales for female artists in 2022.
Furthermore, IVE now becomes the 11th female K-pop act to record 100,000 sales on the first day, following BLACKPINK, Lisa, Rosé, TWICE, Red Velvet, IU, IZ*ONE, Kep1er, aespa, MAMAMOO.

On the Top 100 list, IVE's "LOVE DIVE" has landed at No. 85. It surpassed TREASURE's "THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER THREE," which only sold 118,768 copies.
As of April 6, "LOVE DIVE" had sold a total of 192,654 copies. This is already their highest first-week sales to date.

IVE Talks About New Songs from Second Single Album "LOVE DIVE"
On April 5, the rookie girl group held a showcase for their first comeback with "LOVE DIVE."
At one point during the interview, the IVE members touched on the two new tracks from their second single album.

About the title track "LOVE DIVE," Jang Wonyoung shared, "We've shown a concept that can capture IVE's charms." Ahn Yujin added, "We've prepared to create a color that is unique to IVE."
The B-side song "Royal" is a pop-dance track that contains rap lyrics written by Rei and Gaeul. Rei said, "I wanted to try participating in rap making so I'm happy that I could this time. I consulted with our rap teacher and Gaeul unnie and we attained good results so please listen to it lots."

Finally, Gaeul commented, "We've solidified our spectrum through 'LOVE DIVE.' We've captured a bold attitude and a message of independence in the song, so you'll be able to see the members' charms, who are bold in all aspects."
Ahn Yujin continued, "We will prove our nickname as a 'complete group' and display our colorful charms."
IVE's "LOVE DIVE" is a dark-modern pop song that contains the message of independence. It depicts the modern-day cupid with the way the lyrics express how a person should dive into love anytime if they dare to do so.
