5 Things About Apink Namjoo You Might Not Know About
Kim Nam Joo, most commonly know by her stage name Namjoo, is the lead vocalist, lead dancer, and rapper of second generation girl group Apink since their debut back in April 2011.
Namjoo, along with the rest of her fellow Apink members, went on to become one of the leading girl groups of their generation for their cute-turned-sexy auras, and has released several hit songs such as "NoNoNo," "Mr. Chu," "I'm So Sick," and more.
But on April 15, Namjoo will be celebrating her very special day - her birthday! In honor of the idol turning a year older, here are five things about Namjoo that you might not know about.

1. Namjoo starred in an LG Electronics commercial
Prior to making her debut with Apink, Namjoo already began venturing into the entertainment industry by starring in a commercial for LG Electronics when she was just six years old back in 2003. In 2007, at the age of 13, Namjoo also appeared in another commercial for a healthy food brand alongside actor Park Ji Bin from when they were in elementary school.
2. Namjoo appeared in BEAST's 'Beauitful' music video
Before Apink made their debut, did you know that Namjoo and her fellow members appeared in the music video for BEAST's (now known as Highlight) song called "Beautiful."

In the music video, which was released back in November 2010, featured Namjoo and the rest of Apink as an all-female dance crew for a dance battle scene.
3. Namjoo once named SHINee Onew as her ideal type

In the past, Namjoo revealed that she had been a fan of SHINee member Onew since she was young as she thought he was really cool and had a great voice. Aside from being Onew's fangirl, Namjoo also chose the SHINee member as her ideal type once! Namjoo had shared in the past that her ideal type are those with no double eyelids, has good facial expressions and voice, and someone who is innocent yet sexy.
4. Namjoo has her own solo song

Aside from her music releases with Apink, Namjoo has her own music too! Back in September 2020, Namjoo made her solo debut with the release of her first single album "Bird," which was written and produced by (G)I-DLE member Soyeon. Unfortunately, Namjoo hasn't released new solo music since then.
5. Namjoo is an actress

Like many of her fellow Apink members, Namjoo also ventured into her own acting career. From 2015 to 2016, Namjoo starred as the leading actress for the drama "Investigator Alice" for two seasons. And from 2017 to 2018, she also acted as the lead for two seasons for "Bad Boys Detective."
Namjoo also takes part in musical theaters, and has acted as Juliet for "Romeo and Juliet." More recently, Namjoo will play as Hannah for the musical "Midnight Sun."
