BLACKPINK to Make Comeback in June 2022

On April 26, Sports Donga released an article listing down Korean artists gearing for a comeback in June. The publication named several artists, such as BTS and trot soloist Lim Young Woong.

To many people's surprise, BLACKPINK is among the artists named as having a comeback in June 2022!

Sports Donga stated that according to an official from YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK is expected to release a new album as early as June 2022. This will be BLACKPINK's first comeback in a year and six months.

According to the publication, expectations are high over what results BLACKPINK will achieve with this new album.

The BLACKPINK members have hinted at a comeback as early as January 2022. That month, the members held their first group live stream of the year, which led many to believe they were preparing something.

Additionally, during a Weverse fansign, Jennie hinted that they were going to make a comeback to a fan by saying they are working hard to release something for their fans.

Jennie also stated that the group was preparing for a comeback during her appearance in "The Game Caterers 2." She later caused further speculation when she dyed her hair orange.

Jeon Somi also accidentally leaked audio on her Instagram Live that features Jennie's voice. Many believe that this is BLACKPINK's new comeback song, as the snippet of audio has never been heard by fans before.

Jisoo has also been hinting at a comeback through Weverse, saying that they are preparing new music and commenting on fan's posts about a BLACKPINK comeback.

YG Entertainment has not released a specific date for BLACKPINK's comeback.
