On May 17, SEVENTEEN released a poster announcing their plan for a world tour this year. "BE THE SUN" will mark their first world tour in two years since their 2019-2020 world tour "Ode to You."

According to the photo, SEVENTEEN's 2022 world tour will kick off with two nights of concerts at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on June 25 and 26. The boy group will then fly to North America, where they will hold concerts in various arenas in 12 different cities.

After holding shows across the U.S. in August, they will continue their tour in Canada in early September.

In particular, SEVENTEEN will meet thousands of fans in Vancouver on Aug. 10, Seattle on Aug. 12, Oakland on Aug. 14, Los Angeles on Aug. 17, Houston on Aug. 20, Fort Worth on Aug. 23, Chicago on Aug. 25, Washington, D.C. on Aug. 28, Atlanta on Aug. 30, and Belmont Park on Sept. 1. Afterward, the boy group will perform in Toronto on Sept. 3 and Newark on Sept. 6.

More dates for SEVENTEEN's 2022 world tour are yet to be revealed. In relation to this, Pledis Entertainment also announced that the band will embark on an Asian tour and will hold six dome shows in Japan from November to December this year.

SEVENTEEN's Recent Activities

SEVENTEEN had completed several activities in the past few months. From March 25 to 27, they held their sixth fan meeting in South Korea "SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND." It took place at the Jamsil Auxiliary Stadium.

Then, on April 15 at midnight EST, the 13-piece boy group dropped their first English digital single "Darl+ing." It serves as a pre-release track for the group's upcoming fourth studio album "Face the Sun," which is set for release later this May.

"Darl+ing" depicts the group's sincere story that they would like to tell their fans. The title "Darl+ing" is an endearment for a special, loved one and by adding a plus sign (+), it contains the meaning of "Let me meet with you who are special, and let's become a perfectly complete 'one'."

The English digital single quickly took the top spot on iTunes Song charts in at least 34 different regions on the same day, including Singapore, Egypt, Indonesia, the Philippines, and more.

The English song went on to rank in the top 10 in 46 different countries, and also topped real-time charts on Japan's Line Music, mo-mu, and more.

In South Korea, SEVENTEEN's "Darl+ing" debuted on real-time charts of various major music sites at 2 p.m. KST on the day of its release. It entered at No. 5 on Bugs, No. 58 on Genie, and No. 60 on MelOn.

On daily Korean music charts, the track debuted at No. 10 on Bugs, No. 84 on MelOn, No. 114 on VIBE, and No. 155 on Genie.

On May 7 and 8, Seventeen held their Japanese fan meeting 'HANABI' at Saitama Super Arena, marking their first offline performance in Japan in two and a half years since their "Ode to You" world tour in 2019.
