On May 21 KST, the Korean Business Research Institute announced the brand reputation rankings for singers for the month of May this year. From Lim Young Woong to BTS, keep on reading to know the full list of the most popular singers for this month!

Lim Young Woong is the No. 1 Most Popular Singer in May 2022

Rising several spots to nab the top of this month's brand reputation rankings for singers is popular trot singer, Lim Young Woong!

For the month of May, Lim Young Woong had amassed a total brand reputation index of 11,925,044 for the month of May. More specifically, he garnered a participation index of 2,794,245, a media index of 2,741,052, a communication index of 3,685,047, and a community index of 2,704,700.

Compared to Lim Young Woong's brand reputation index amassed back in April with 8,161,142, the trot singer's index saw an increase of 46.12 percent for this month.

Following closely behind as second place for the month of May is "Permission to Dance" singers, BTS!

According to the Korean Business Research Institute, BTS had amassed a total brand reputation index of 11,418,407, with a participation index of 1,542,796, a media index of 3,313,250, a communication index of 3,503,163, and a community index of 3,059,198.

For this month, the brand reputation index BTS amassed rose by 4.79 percent, as compared to their index of 10,896,797 in April.

Landing at third place as the most popular singer for this month is the "Gangnam Style" hitmaker PSY!

For the month of May, PSY got a brand reputation index of 10,749,221. This includes a participation index of 999,414, a media index of 1,618,062, a communication index of 4,104,380, and a community index of 4,027,365

PSY was newly included in the brand reputation index for singers.

For the fourth most popular singer for the month of May, it is IU!

This month, IU had garnered a total brand reputation index of 5,509,352, with a participation index of 1,124,631, a media index of 2,035,202, a communication index of 1,175,441, and a community index of 1,174,078.

Compared to the brand reputation index of 3,910,382 that IU garnered back in April, this month she rose by 40.89%.

Finally, making it within the top five is top girl group, BLACKPINK!

For this month, BLACKPINK has a brand reputation index of 4,373,330, with a participation index of 333,275, a media index of 882,008, a communication index of 1,404,664, and a community index of 1,753,382.

For this month, the brand reputation index BLACKPINK garnered saw an increase of 97.89 percent, as compared to their index of 2,209,991 in April.
