Following her dating rumors with EXO Kai and G-Dragon, BLACKPINK Jennie is once again caught up in romantic relationship speculation with a global star, BTS V. Amid this, the responses of YG to each rumor attracted the attention of the media.
YG Entertainment Responds to BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie's Dating Rumor
BLACKPINK's Jennie was embroiled in her third dating rumor since her debut. This time, she was linked to the world's top idol BTS' V following alleged Jeju Island eyewitness stories which caused a stir.
As a brief context, photos circulated on May 22 on various online communities showing alleged Jennie and V inside a car. According to the "eyewitness," the two were spotted on their trip to Jeju Island together.

While there are claims that the photos were photoshopped, dating rumor has been raised; thus the Korean media immediately seek the response of YG and HYBE.
While HYBE remained silent, on May 23, YG Entertainment, the agency of Jennie briefly replied:
"We have nothing to tell you about this matter."
YG Entertainment's 'Neutral' Response to Artist's Dating Rumors Attracts Attention
In line with this, YG Entertainment's way of handling the dating rumor of its artist drew attention not only from K-pop enthusiasts but as well as from Korean media outlets.
In particular, TopStarNews brought back Jennie's past dating news which started with EXO Kai.
The romantic rumor was raised through Dispatch's exclusive report on January 1, 2019. At that time, Dispatch unveiled a paparazzi cut containing Kai and Jennie's dating scenes, and SM Entertainment (Kai's agency) acknowledged the meeting between the two, saying:
"Kai and Jennie have become fond of each other."
However, YG only said:
"We didn't know of the dating rumor involving Jennie. We will look into this matter."
In 2021, the "Whistle" singer's second dating rumor was with her co-YG artist and senior BIGBANG G-Dragon. The age difference between the two also made headlines. Instead of acknowledging the romantic relationship or denying it, YG replied silently and just said:
"We cannot confirm anything."
On the other hand, Jennie's dating rumors were not just the times that YG Entertainment replied with a neutral statement.
In the past, when WINNER Mino was embroiled in a dating rumor with former 2NE1 CL, the agency only said:
"It's ridiculous and makes no sense."
A similar response from YG was released during Dara and G-Dragon romantic rumors raised in 2017 where they stated:
"This dating rumor was all caused by a joke."
