Why Did Kris, Luhan, and Tao Leave EXO?
Kris, Luhan, and Tao were three of the four Chinese members of EXO. Then, one by one, they left the group. The first member to leave was Kris.

Kris filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment on May 15, 2014. He claimed that the company had disregarded his health and maintained unfair profit distributions.
In October, that same year, Luhan filed a lawsuit against the company to terminate his contract. His lawsuit cited health problems and claimed SM Entertainment treated the Chinese members differently than the group's Korean members.
In July 2016, it was confirmed both members left the group after the contractual disputes were settled.
In March 2015, Tao took a hiatus from EXO activities due to health problems. In August of that year, the idol filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to terminate his contract. He stated that the contract has unfair terms.
Though all artists have left EXO, the company still manages their activities in Korea and Japan. However, the three idols have maintained their activities in China.
Where is Kris Wu Now?
Currently, Kris Wu is in prison. The idol-actor was formally arrested on August 16, 2021, on suspicion of rape.

In July 2021, the former EXO member was accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, some minors, while they were intoxicated. 19-year-old Chinese college student Du Meizhu stated she was one of the victims, claiming that he assaulted her while intoxicated when she was 18 years old.

After being investigated and detained by police in Beijing that same month, Kris Wu was arrested. No updates were given concerning court dates and final sentencing.
Where is Luhan Now?
Luhan is active as an idol, actor, and influencer in China. Currently, he is the ambassador for Gucci in China. He also endorses other brands in China, such as Minute Maid and Curel.

The idol often stars in reality shows and vlogs, which can be found on Luhan Studio's official Weibo account. In 2021, he was the main host for the Chinese variety show "HaHaHaHaHa Season 2."

As an actor, he has starred in several dramas. His last drama was "Sisyphus" in 2020.
Luhan's last musical release was the single "Slow Ride." The idol released the song to celebrate his tenth debut anniversary to thank his fans.
Where is Tao Now?
Tao, who now goes by his birthname Huang Zitao or Z.TAO, is active as an idol, actor, and influencer in China. He is the face of several brands, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Kappa, and Hershey's.

Tao's last musical release was the single album, "Young King Young Boss," in 2022. The single album contains two songs: "Young King Young Boss" and Young King Young Boss (feat. KnowKnow)."

In 2022, Tao was a cast member of "The New Journey." Later this year, he will also appear as a cast member of "The Detective's Adventures 2".
