Red Velvet Irene Crowned as No. 1 True Visual Center Among Girl Group Idols
On May 30, DC Inside, a popular Korean community portal site led by CEO Kim Yoo Sik, announced the result of a survey: "Which member do you think is the true visual center of all idol groups?"
The poll ran from May 23 to 29 and after the tally, Irene was chosen as the member that netizens think is the true visual center for all-girl groups.
The "Queendom" singer topped the list with 24,760 (23%) out of 109,610 votes, proving her extraordinary presence.

Irene, even before her debut, was already famous for her beauty as an "ulzzang" (internet star popular for their visual). In fact, male students from differing towns during her school days travel just to see her face, flaunting her popularity.
In 2014, she rose in the K-pop scene as the leader of the girl group Red Velvet launched by SM Entertainment. Aside from her singing and dance skills, the female idol was also evaluated as an "original" visual center representing third-generation idols.

Following Irene, Sakura came in second with 24,730 (23%) votes. It was a close fight, but she was short by 30 votes, making her second in the rankings.

Nevertheless, Sakura has been known for her outstanding appearance, even from when she was still in the Japanese girl group HKT48. Her fame increased even more after being active as IZ*ONE in Korea.
What people love the most about Sakura is her natural beauty, and that she can rock various concepts - from showing a pure and innocent image to doing a sexy anf daring look.
Whatever group she is in, Sakura always stands out, proving her worth as the group's center.
Third place went to Kim Minju, who was selected with 19,419 (18 percent) votes. Although Wonyoung is the group's center when she was active in IZ*ONE in 2018, fans can't ignore Minju's pretty face and physique.
Currently, the female idol has been appearing as an MC on MBC's "Music Core" and has been active in various fields such as entertainment, photoshoots, and advertisements.
Jang Wonyoung, a former IZ*ONE who is now promoting under IVE, was also selected as a true visual center by DC inside users. Because of her tall height, body proportion and fairy-like visuals, she earned the modifier "It Girl."

aespa Karina then got the spot for fifth place. Aside from her dance skills, the "Next Level" singer is also admired greatly for her CG-level beauty.
