Brand New Music Issues Response on AB6IX Donghyun's Dating Rumor
Recently on June 7, AB6IX member Donghyun became entangled with dating rumors after the idol was seen with a girl following the first leg of their global fanmeeting tour "AB_NEW AREA" in Seoul, which took place back on June 4 and 5.
One Twitter user took to their account to share a photo of a man and woman, who are both facing the other way, as they stood intimately together while waiting by the side of the road.
The Twitter user, in their now deleted post, also shared that the male was Donghyun, and that the photo was taken in Apgujeong, Seoul after concluding their fanmeeting. Donghyun and the female were allegedly holding hands as well, according to the Twitter user, however, they didn't take any other photos or videos of the two.

Over on the online community forum Nate Pann, one netizen also shared a photo of Donghyun earlier that day right before AB6IX's fanmeeting.
In the netizen's post, Donghyun can be seen wearing the same clothes and bag as the male in the photo with the female, which led many to believe the idol is indeed dating.

Hours after photos of Donghyun with a female spread on social media platforms, AB6IX's label, Brand New Music, issued a statement.
On June 7, Brand New Music stated, "The woman is one of Kim Donghyun's friends from his hometown. Kim Donghyun had met up with friends from his hometown after a company dinner. The photos are from when he was about to go home after their hangout. Kim Donghyun took a taxi home after seeing his friends off."

Brand New Music further denied the dating rumors, stating, "They are definitely not in a relationship. She is one of the people he met during their hangout."
Meanwhile, as part of their "AB_NEW AREA" fanmeeting, the four-member boy group is set to visit major cities in Japan and the United States from June to July.
AB6IX Donghyun's Latest Activities
In 2021, Donghyun made his acting debut by taking the male lead role for the Dingo Music web series "Fling at Convenience Store." He also co-produced and sang the series' original sountrack.
In the same year, Donghyun took to the small screen and became a cast member for the SBS drama "Let Me Be Your Knight," in which he played the role of Woo Ga On, who is the keyboardist and youngest member of the fictional band LUNA.
Aside from his solo activities in acting, he and AB6IX recently released their fifth mini album "A to B" back in May of this year.
