Several Tracks From BTS' Upcoming Album 'Proof' Deemed Unfit for Broadcast by KBS

On June 8 KST, it was reported that several of BTS' songs, which is set to be released a as part of their upcoming anthology album "Proof," has been reviewed by KBS in accordance with the major broadcasting station's regulations.

According to KBS through their official website, the seven-piece boy group's songs "Run BTS" and "Born Singer" were unable to pass the censorship reviews, as the station deemed the lyrics include profanity and explicit use of language.

However, one of their other new songs entitled "For Youth" is still under careful consideration, as it reportedly has no lyrics or voice in the first 30 seconds of the song. The beginning for "For Youth" is reportedly just sound effects.

Fortunately, the album's title track "Yet to Come" passed KBS' broadcasting regulations, and is allowed to be played on broadcast.

Meanwhile, "Run BTS" was written and composed by members RM, Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook. Other songwriters who participated in producing the song include Dwayne Abernathy Jr., Daniel Caesar, Melanie Fontana, Ludwig Lindell, Feli Ferraro, Ebenezer, Ghstloop, Oneye, and Michel Lindgren Schulz.

As for "Born Singer," it is the remastered version of BTS' July 2013 track of the same name. This will also marks the official release of the song, as it was never officially released by the group. "Born Singer," which samples J.Cole's "Born Sinner," was re-written by RM, Suga, and J-Hope.

"For Youth," which was also written by the BTS rappers, had Imad Royal, Drew Love, Blaise Railey, Rogét Chahayed, 4rest, Hiss Noise, Big Hit Music's in-house producer Slow Rabbit, and HYBE founder Bang Shi Hyuk ("hitman" Bang) in its team of writers and producers.

And lastly, the title track "Yet To Come" was written by RM, Suga, J-Hope, Big Hit Music's in-house producer Pdogg, Dan Gleyzer, and American singer Max. The song will feature a refreshing melody contain lyrics that dream of a new love between BTS and ARMY (BTS' fandom).

"Proof," which is BTS' first anthology album and will have three CDs, is set to be released on June 10 at 1pm KST.

Meanwhile, BTS is raising fans' expectations with not only their new album, but also for their return on music shows.

BTS is slated to appear on Korean music shows to promote their new album, with their last appearance being back in March 2020 during promotions for "ON."

According to Big Hit Music, BTS will be performing on Mnet's "M Countdown" on June 16, KBS' "Music Bank" on June 17, and SBS' "Inkigayo" on June 19.
