The "Yet to Come" singer initially addressed the question, but he didn't give a particular answer and instead gave different responses. Hence, what he exactly whispered to Rodrigo remains a mystery.
But, the mystery seemed to have been solved as BTS V finally told Weverse Magazine what he whispered to Olivia Rodrigo at the 2022 Grammys.

In his solo interview published on June 17, interviewer Myungseok Kang kicked off the talk by bringing up V's staged conversation with Olivia. He said, "I'm guessing a lot of people were asking what you two talked about. I'm sure it must have been difficult to really talk under the circumstances."
The "Blue & Grey" singer answered, "I got asked about that a lot. I was honestly really nervous there because of the clothing choreography." V added that what he whispered to Olivia was only "blah blah blah" and that he didn't say anything real.

"Leading up to the moment, I thought I could just show it on my face or set the scene-and thought I didn't have to say anything in particular-so I wasn't saying anything special," BTS V further explained.
He went on to share that Olivia Rodrigo knew what he was doing, and as performers they have the ability to make a scene look fun without even saying anything specific.

When asked how he ended up doing the act with the American artist, V revealed that it was a suggestion from the people at the Grammys that was agreed to on the same day as the event. And because it was an on-the-spot plan, the BTS member wasn't aware who he would end up seated next to. In short, he didn't know that he would do the skit with Olivia.

As the interview went on, the Weverse Magazine interviewer touched on the part where BTS V had to act and throw the card before BTS' "Butter" started. He said, "There must have been a lot you had to think about."

"I kept going one, two, three, four, in my head," V shared. "And it was hard to know exactly what Olivia Rodrigo was saying since I had in-ears in both my ears at that time."

The "Run BTS" singer further confessed that he was worried over doing the clothing choreography properly and that it was all that he talked about before going up on stage.
