MAMAMOO Solar Reveals She Was Hurt by THIS Comment About Her Skills

MAMAMOO Solar Reveals Comments on Her Skills That Hurt Her
Despite her success, the "HONEY" singer during the broadcast confessed that she was hurt by malicious comments after her first musical challenge. Solar shared:
"The company advised me not to go to the community where musical enthusiasts often go when the (musical) performance begins."
In particular, this community is where fans of musicals go to leave their reviews and share their reactions. She added:
"I looked for it as soon as my first performance was over because I couldn't stand it. I was just so curious that I thought I would go crazy if I didn't look into it. Since it's my first time performing, I'd like to know how the people reacted (to my performance)."

After seeing the comments, Solar then conveyed her worries if she should continue checking the comments. Lee Yongjin replied that musical enthusiasts have high expectations because they are passionate about the field.
Meanwhile, when asked by comedian Lee Yongjin about the "malicious comments that bothered Solar the most," the female idol replied:
"Because I'm with Ock JooHyun sunbae-nim, I was hurt that comments like 'I will skip Solar for now' (were written) without watching it first or looking at anything. I felt that if they had seen it once and talked about it, I would have understood that part where I was not good enough."
In particular, Solar emphasized the different levels she and former Fin. K.L Ock JooHyun has, who is already a highly recognized musical actress.
"Since I'm with Ock JooHyun, I can't help but compare myself. (Ock JooHyun) is at the top, so it's so natural."
As a brief context, Ock, before Solar, is the idol-turned actress who played the same role in "Mata Hari" in 2016. Due to this, there was a comparison between the two stars happening among musical enthusiasts.
MAMAMOO Solar Shares Resolve About Seeing Malicious Comments
Following confession, Lee Yongjin comforted Solar and said:
"We have to think there is nothing we can do. Since it's the first time, it's a way to buy a cool audience's response."
He also advised Solar not to look for such comments starting with her next production projects. Also, she can compile the comments from the past days and read them just then. Solar then said:
I'll try to control myself even if I read the comments until this work and do something about it next time."
Meanwhile, Solar and Ock JooHyun were double-cast as the main character in the musical "Mata Hari," which opened on May 28.
It is based on the true story of Dutch-born dancer Mata Hari, who was arrested and shot by French authorities on charges of double espionage during World War I.
