On July 5, Mimi of Oh My Girl became a hot topic on the online community forum Nate Pann. This is following a post updating on her latest status and appearance. The forum post author said:
"(Oh My Girl Mimi) looks like she's changing (appearance) all the time, I can't see the old Mimi anymore."
Along the caption, they also attached the idol's photos. As of the writing, the post already amassed more than 65k views and 106 likes.
In the photos, Mimi showcased her casual style clad in white blouse, black shorts and shoes. She also showed her natural but bold visual by wearing light makeup and dark red lipstick.
The most noticeable, however, was her tanned skin.

As soon as the photos circulated, people began to express their mixed opinions on the matter. Some commented about the "Dolphin" singer's image change, drifting away from Oh My Girl's pure and innocent concept.
They also highlighted that contrary to her group, Mimi is starting to show a different style in terms of her makeup, outfit and hairstyle. She looks natural rather than the dreamy style Oh My Girl is popular for.
Surprisingly, there are more people who prefer Mimi's current image and commented how her personal style added to her and group's charms.
"It's nice because she looks natural, it would be nice if more idols are like this."
"I think this is what she wanted to pursue, and until now, I feel like she's just wearing clothes that her agency arranged for her."

Mimi Builds Own Name as 'Entertainment Ace' Following 'Earth Arcade'
Aside from pursuing her solo image, Oh My Girl Mimi also draws attention as she builds her own name beyond the group.
Currently, she is an active member of the entertainment show "Earth Arcade," which was introduced on June 24 by PD Na Young Suk of CJ ENM.
As member Jiho left this year, some predicted that the group might be going through the process of disbanding, but all six others renewed their contracts with their agencies.
But it is also noticeable that following contract renewal, members started to open their careers outside the music scene.
Among them, Mimi cemented her status as an entertainer, who also earned the nickname "Entertainment Ace" for her dance skills, abilities and wit she first showed in the show. She also drives the popularity of the program as well as Oh My Girl with her presence.
