Back in June of this year, Rosé became entangled in a dating rumor with J-Hope after the two idols were spotted with the same chef at the same restaurant.
The rumor first began when South Korean-born French chef Pierre Sang shared several photos of him with various celebrities at his restaurant through his Instagram Stories. Among the photos he shared, K-pop superstars Rosé and J-Hope were among the celebrities he took a photo with.

One netizen who shared the photos on the online community forum Nate Pann also pointed out that the two idols were sporting the same nail polish color, which heightened the dating rumors.

In addition to the similar nail polish color, the two were also wearing an all-black ensemble. Eagle-eyed fans also noticed that their photos with Pierre Sang were shared on the same day.
These alleged evidences were enough for some to speculate that the two were dating. However, both BLINKs and ARMYs (BLACKPINK and BTS' fandoms, respectively) quickly shut down the dating rumors.

Fans pointed out that Rosé and J-Hope were not the only celebrities who visited the French chef during the opening of his new restaurant. In fact, other K-pop idols were also spotted visiting, such as TWICE Nayeon, BLACKPINK Lisa and Jisoo, Jeon Somi, and more.
As for the nail polish color, it is simply a coincidence.

Following the dating rumors, both idols and their respective labels YG Entertainment and Big Hit Music did not comment on the speculation between the two. Likewise, the dating rumor also quickly died down with the help of loyal fans.
