Prior to its release, "Need To Know" drew anticipation as it's a song created by Jay Park himself, along with American artist Cha Cha Malone. This is the first time they worked together again since "All I Wanna Do" and "JOAH."

As "GANADARA (Feat. IU)," initially released by Jay Park in March, swept the top of various music charts, music listeners' expectations for the new song were also high.

Upon its release, the song garnered. Fans lauded Jay Park's dancing, rapping and singing skills. He also became a hot topic on SNS for doing the "Need To Know" challenge with other idols like ENHYPEN.

On top of that, the MV's quality also impressed viewers as it gave off late 2010s vibe.

Unfortunately, some expressed displeasure over the appearance of choreographer Noze.

Earlier, the female dancer was under fire for power abuse, particularly discriminating against small brands. The criticism started when the teaser was released.

People debated whether the music video heroine would be Noze, but eventually, she was confirmed. With this, both her and the K-Hip Hop star received backlash.

Nevertheless, fans of both artists defended them, leaving comments such as:

  • "Jay Park probably filmed the MV even before the controversy broke out."
  • "Why can't you all just enjoy it? A song is just a song."

Noze Apologizes Following 'Gapjil' Issue

Noze, who is currently the center of criticism, apologized after being embroiled in the power abuse (gapjil) controversy.

According to previous reports, she used power abuse against small and medium-sized companies in the process of advertising SNS (social network service).

Initially, Noze's agency denied the allegations, but soon apologized, recognizing their mistakes. In the midst of the issue, Noze remained silent and even attended a concert, which earned her more criticism.

Aside from not personally apologizing, she was accused of "playing the victim" after she shed tears during the concert.

In response, she posted a handwritten apology on her Instagram on July 12, eight days after the controversy.

"I was careful about how to express my apologies to those who must have been disappointed by my recent immaturity. I'm sorry once again because I think my actions have disappointed other people."

Noze became known in the K-pop scene after going viral as EXO Kai's backup dancer. When she, later on, joined Mnet's dance reality show, "Street Woman Fighter," she established her name as the choreographer of the "Hey Mama" trend, which became a dance craze in South Korea.
