Sometimes, we keep an amulet as we believe it will bring us good luck. In other cases, having people as our "lucky charms" also works!

In fact, in K-pop, there are three well-known idols who are said to give luck to fans. As soon as testimonies circulated online, even Koreans joined the trend!

Here Are 3 Idols Who Become South Korea's 'Lucky Charms':

1. SHINee Taemin

The idol, dubbed by fans as "Nation's Maknae," is said to bring good luck to people, especially to students.

In particular, he became a hot topic for his famous "Lee Taemin x3" chant, where fans say, "Lee Taemin, Lee Taemin, Lee Taemin," like an incantation to make your wishes come true.

It wasn't clear who started it, but it was said that SHINee World (fandom of SHINee) would chant it during concert ticketing to secure their slots.

After a lot of fans testified that it works, other fandoms started chanting it as well. Later on, this will spread even to non-fans especially to students who will have their exams.

In fact, in June last year, Lee Taemin trended online amid his military service after examinees tweeted the chant in hopes that they will pass their final tests.

2. TWICE Nayeon

In fact, even K-pop idols are trying it including Jeongyeon, NMIXX Sullyoon, BTOB Minhyuk, more!

In particular, the newfound talisman of South Korea started when Nayeon appeared in "The Manager."

Her manager revealed that when she got a new phone, she set Nayeon's selfie as its wallpaper and and claimed that it instantly brings her fortune.

After it went viral, some internet users that aside from money, lucky charm Nayeon as wallpaper also keeps them safe from harm and accidents!

3. SEVENTEEN Seungkwan

Another "lucky charm" idol that you need to try is SEVENTEEN Seungkwan. But his charm is a combination of Taemin's and Nayeon's!

A long time ago, Seungkwan joked to fans that if they chant his full name thrice, "Boo Seungkwan x3," CARATs (SEVENTEEN fans) will successfully obtain a ticket for their concerts.

Soon enough, a lot of fans also attested that the chant works for them. For stronger effect, the fandom also started keeping his photocards like an amulet or would keep attached his photos from their phones, bags, etc.
