Back on Aug. 6, 2017, one netizen took to the popular online forum TheQoo to share pieces of "evidence" that MONSTA X Hyungwon is in a relationship with female announcer Kim Yoon Hee.

The first "proof" was discovered on the announcer's Facebook, posted on Feb. 20, 2014. Kim Yoon Hee mentioned what appears to be MONSTA X Hyungwon's name in her post.
She wrote, "I'm graduating from Sungshin Women's University. Congratulations to my classmates, and I am grateful to my family, Yoon Sun, Hyungwon, and Hyun Woo, who've all come for me."

In her second Facebook post (picture above), the announcer said, "..... my happiness gimme! ..... Next time, the three of us and Hyungwon, let's go eat steamed eggs in Samgeori Pocha -famous Korean bar in Hongdae, Seoul. Chae Hyungwon."

The second "evidence" (photo above) of MONSTA X Hyungwon dating the female announcer is Kim Yoon Hee's Instagram post, which features a picture of a gift she received. A message read, "Be good to me. I miss you," was on the box. Many believed that the handwriting on the box matched the handwriting of the male K-pop idol.
In the same Instagram post, she included a paper with a note that said, "My brother I.M, congratulations for being Simply K-pop MC. I am rooting for you. Simply K-pop fighting!."

In another Instagram post, Kim Yoon Hee uploaded a photo with a caption that states, "My boyfriend is manjjitnam." Manjjitnam, a term used to describe a handsome guy who looks like he came out of the manga, happens to be MONSTA X Hyungwon's nickname.

Moreover, the female announcer shared an image of a puppy on Instagram with the caption, "Mon bebe." Coincidentally, MONSTA X's fan club name is MONBEBE.

Furthermore, TheQoo post claimed that Kim Yoon Hee responded to fans' direct messages asking her to stop showing signs of being in a relationship. On her Instagram story, Kim wrote the message below:

"I've been living quietly for the past four years, so I'm not sure what you guys mean about me to be even quieter and stop showing signs... Also, unfortunately, nothing is going to change even if you look at my Instagram and send me messages.
Work is work, and personal life is personal life. I can't answer questions about my personal matters, but you guys just do what you want and ask personal questions, and that's also making me want to do whatever I want."

The final "proof" is a post claimed to have been posted on a blog by MONSTA X Hyungwon's friend. The post contains a screenshot of KakaoTalk messages where there's a selfie of Hyunwon and his alleged girlfriend, a mirror selfie of Kim Yoon Hee and the idol's comment, "My girlfriend dresses really well, kekeke."
