Zico Reveals Most Important Thing to Be Successful Idol
According to a post on THEQOO, there was a text sent from an audience member who is dreaming of becoming an idol. He added that the person wants some advice from STAYC.

The host then asked STAYC members about what they thought. Sieun, STAYC's leader, said to work hard and be steady. The MC also asked Zico for his opinion. He thought about it first and answered honestly.

He stated that the person must meet the right company to become successful. After that, they all laughed, but they also all agreed.
Viewers Reactions to Zico's Response
Many of the viewers agreed with what Zico said. It is essential to have a successful company backing you or your group up.

"Zico is right... No matter how much your group stands out, if you don't have the right agency... You can crumble at any instance. I've seen so many teams go through that, and it's just so sad..."
Another comment shared their honest opinion about idol groups. They said that looking at the idol industry, talent, quality, and looks are almost identical in every group. Things that people are saying regarding big companies having more talented and more beautiful or handsome idols and trainees are not true for this generation anymore.
They added that if they were honest, there might be many idols from smaller agencies that are way more beautiful, handsome, and talented talented compared to big agencies and companies.
What sets them apart is the money that big agencies can supply and give their groups. And that is one crucial factor in debuting idols.
Furthermore, another commenter stated her experience with liking an idol group. They said they couldn't join the fandom because of the agency and how poorly they treated the group.
However, there are still comments fighting for their opinion, saying skills and looks are still important to get into big companies and the idol industry.
Zico as a Producer After Block B
It cannot be denied that Zico has become one of the most successful idol producers now. He was previously active as Block B's leader and rapper together with P.O, who is now an actor.
They were from a realitvely unknown company. Maybe that is one of the reasons why he said his answer. Zico previously came from a small company, so it was mostly the members who did the producing of their songs. They even paid for their dorms and outfits.
Zico is currently promoting his song "Freak," which was released late last month. It is under his album "Grown Ass Kid,. It is his first album to be released after being under HYBE Labels. Just like his older releases, this one has topped the charts.
Meanwhile, girl group STAYC is also promoting their new song "Beautiful Monster" from the album "We Need Love."
