Girls' Generation Promises 'Forever 1' With New Comeback
Girls' Generation has released the music video for their long-awaited comeback for the song "Forever 1". Celebrating the group's 15th anniversary since its debut, they promised fans that they will be forever one with the fans.
Music Video of "Forever 1"
In the music video, there are shot of the girls of SNSD in different locations. It seems like they are portraying their real-life version where they all have solo activities outside of the group. Taeyeon is on a stage, depicting her solo career while Tiffany is on her plane, depicting her life in the U.S.
Hyoyeon is in a club in the DJ's booth manning the system, just like her solo career as DJ Hyo. In another shot, Sooyoung is on the red carpet, showing her career as an actress just like Yoona is in a chair on what looks like a movie set.
Meanwhile, Sunny is in a limo waiting for the press to subside as she will go out on a red carpet. On the other hand, Yuri is already posing for the press. Lastly, Seohyun is in a photoshoot, probably for one of her drama posters.
In other parts of the music video, Girls' Generation members are enjoying summer like no other. Performing as a group and singing to the fans that they are still together, still "Forever 1".
There is also a dance part of the video where the girls are in colorful and loud outfits, singing gracefully and effortlessly together on a set.
Lyrics of "Forever 1"
The English translation of the title track is also present in the music video. It can be interpreted as a love song. But it also looks like they are singing to the fans, or SONEs, saying things like the world is more beautiful since their fans are still there with them, fearlessly and forever.
Shouting 'I love you's, tears spilling over just by telling stories about the members giving their all and following their heart, the members would run and hold their fans. In the chorus, the members sing "I love you, you are my everything. We are still together, forever 1".
SNSD comes back with "Forever 1"
The second verse also tells how the girls would not want to let go and be hold forever. There is also a part of the lyrics where it says "I know your love is crazy, it has always been", pertaining to the fans' undying support and unending love for the members which they are thankful for.
This song feels like a forever promise that the girls of SNSD will be forever by the side of their fans as long as the fans are still with them.
Fans Reaction to "Forever 1"
The fans are just so happy that the girls reunited and celebrated their 15th anniversary with a comeback album. Listening and watching the music video, some fans are even crying out of happiness and appreciation for what the girls have done.
GG comes back with "Forever 1"
One fan commented on the YouTube video saying the lyrics had her crying. For her, it was like an embrace from the members. "Telling us 'you've done well all these years. We're here now. We will walk through this life together. Thank you for existing, thank you for being you. Thank you for loving us. SONEs and SNSD will always be one," she added.
