In August, it was announced that BTS member Jin would be working for the gaming company Nexon, which runs his favorite MMORPG game MapleStory. Those who have been fans of Jin for a while are aware of the idol's immense love for the game.

He has even collaborated with Nexon for MapleStory before, such as releasing the MapleStory bread along with BTS, as well as being the judge for the game's character design awards, Golden Hand Awards.
So it's not a surprise when Jin revealed he is collaborating once again with Nexon, but this time working as an game planner for the company! Nexon even revealed the intimidating resumé that landed Jin his job, which includes his work experience being a member of BTS since June 2013.

Now, Jin officially began his first day at Nexon on August 16. But to know more on how he landed a role as MapleStory's game planner, Nexon shared Jin's interview through the game's official Youtube channel.
The interviewer first asked why Jin applied for MapleStory, to which the idol responded by saying, "MapleStory was my life when I was young."
Although he can rely on ARMY, BTS' fandom, when he is having a hard time, he still likes to play MapleStory when he gets home after work to find solace. With his joining the team, he hopes to be able to extend that feeling to others.

Jin explained, "When I am having a hard time, I think of my fans first. The second thing that came to mind was MapleStory. I can't wait to go home and play this game. Because I wanted to be healed by this, I had applied for MapleStory as I wanted to give that same feeling to others."
Naturally, the interviewer also wondered why Jin would want to work on a game, especially when he can have a different job given his impressive qualifications. "Looking at your resumé, you experience, awards, and the specs are really strong. I am curious why [you] want to plan a game with such good specs," asked the interviewer.
Jin responded, "Continuing from before, MapleStory was my doctor, my cure, my resting place, and my sanctuary. So I wanted to be of some help to that."

Hearing his response, the interviewer couldn't help but almost cry a bit due to his appreciative answer. To which Jin added, "I applied [for the job] because you made it all."

When asked when he is the happiest when playing the time, Jin shares it is when he is working with someone from his guild to defeat a new boss.
"The happiest time was when a new boss came out, I [attempted the] challenge with a guild member for a long time. We tried for a month or two, and we communicated with each other that this would be good. As you can see from my resumé, I am not in the field of briefing or researching something. But it was so much fun to do," Jin said.

He admits that due to his introverted personality and work as an idol, he doesn't have a lot of friends. But because of MapleStory, he is able to interact with other players and play with them, allowing him to be socialize within his comfort zone.
"I don't have many friends, [as I am] not in an environment where I can make friends. These days, it is called MBTI. E is for extroverted and I is introverted. I have a very high rate of I. Actually, I don't go out very often. But players in the game have fun with me and communicate a lot. I felt like I have a lot of friends," Jin said.
With Jin working on MapleStory, it can be expected that a lot of fun things are coming to the game!
