6 Vocally Challenging Sad Songs By Girl Groups

It is typical for K-pop groups to put a ballad or sad song in their albums once in a while. However, not all groups can do vocally challenging songs.

2ne1 "If I Were You"

First on our list is 2ne1's "CRUSH" album which was released in 2014. Their song "if I Were You" is a song that was written by their leader CL and was about someone who tried their best to make the person they love feel good but failed.

The lyrics depict a person's longing for their beloved to feel the way they make them feel, which is not good.

The song is a slow ballad with very intense vocals as the members of 2ne1 showed how much they resent the person they once loved because of what they made them feel.

This song is very soulful, sad, and a bit angry so not only it is vocally challenging in the technicalities, but also the emotions needed to sing the song.

MAMAMOO "I Miss You"
